A Communications team member of the National Democratic Congress [NDC], Alhaji Nasiru has emphatically stated that members of the current government especially appointees of the president should not perform their duties based on their selfish interests.
To him, each appointee must know his or her purpose of being elected to serve the state and not want to do things in their personal interest.
“. . No government appointee should think they will use their selfish interest to overrule the rule of law under which they work, and therefore take decisions that will suit their personal interest,” he fumed.
Discussing matters of the Electoral Commission's (EC) alleged corruption scandal on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ political segment, Alhaji Nasiru noted that “President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo should be very careful on his stance on this matter because per the constitution of our land, he has the mandate to take the final decision after court proceedings and the committee findings.”
“Indeed, the conduct of this government in respect to the EC scandal clearly shows that they[members of the NPP] are driving towards a particular direction of which their leader needs to be very careful or he faces the outcome of his actions in future. The situations on this matter are becoming so uncomfortable,” he lamented.
He sai members of the NPP are those who “deal in organized corruption crimes” and yet claim they will wipe out corruption in this country.
BACKGROUND
Chairperson of the EC, Mrs. Charlotte Osei, and two of her deputies, Georgina Opoku-Amankwah, who is in charge of Corporate Services, and Amadu Sulley, in charge of Operations, are expected to appear before the five-member committee chaired by a Supreme Court Judge for questioning relating to separate petitions filed against them.
The appearance of the three before the 5- member committee set to investigate the scandal follows the completion of preliminary investigations into their alleged conduct of abuse of power and corruption.
In August, 2017, the three EC bosses were directed by the Chief Justice to file their official responses to the allegations leveled against them in the various petitions.

I think Alhaji Nasiru is on weeds and dont know what to say to Ghanaians. Charlotte osei is not above the law so she must face it and if find guilty will have to stay aside for competent person to come and take over so Nasiru or whatever ur words cant save Charlote from facing the law so if nDC dont understand they can walk nak3d across the country
TALK IS CHEAP. NDC CAN CONTINUE TO TALK AND HALLUCINATE THAT THEY CAN RULE EVEN IN OPPOSITION. BY THE NEXT 2-3 YRS THEY WILL KNOW THEIR SMOOTHNESS LEVEL. YOU HAVE HAD SO MANY YEARS OF GOVERNING THIS COUNTRY THAN ANY OTHER PARTY OR GROUP OF PEOPLE. WE ARE AT A MESSY STATE AS A NATION BECAUSE OF YOU GUYS. SHAMEFULLL DESCENDANTS. YOU JOKEE WITH GOVERNANCE BUT BE INFORMED THAT GOVERNANCE IS SERIOUS BUSINESS. THE GOVERNMENT WANTS TO ENTRENCHED DEVELOPMENT IN OUR BODY POLITICS. THE LAW MUST TAKE ITS COURSE. IF AT THE END OF DAY THE WOMAN IS IMPEACHED, NOBODY CAN RAISE A FLAG. YOU DARE ATTEMPT AND YOU WILL SEE. GOLO GUYS LIKE THAT.
NDC WILL CONTINUE TO RULE THIS COUNTRY EVEN IN OPOSITION BECAUSE THEY WOULD ALWAYS DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION AND ENSURE THE RULE OF LAW WORKS IN GHANA
Does anyone get it? Please explain if yiu do.
charlotte will go she is not above the Laws of Ghana, if she has done what they said she has done, then she will be remove by her deeds. NDC's want to tell Ghanaian's that she cant be remove because she always trys to rigs elections on their behalf, so we should keep her in there even if she is not doing her work well. that will not work, she will go NDC.
WHAT ARE YOU INSINUATING? IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN THE RULE OF LAW, JUST ***barred word*** AND ALLOW THE LAW TAKE ITS COURSE. IF YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE TO OFFER, PLEASE DIRECT IT TO YOUR GREEDY, EVIL, CORRUPT AND INCOMPETENT JOHN MAHAMA WHOSE EVIL INTENT WAS TO BURN GHANA BY APPOINTING THIS SILENT ASSASSIN....
Charlotte Osei will be removed if found guilty just like the CHRAJ boss was removed by the incompetent John Mahama.... NDC can go on demo and I will advise them to go naked.....and we will watch them.
These NDC people talk as if we are still in the JJ military era. Let them know that now we have democracy and the rule of law reigns. If the EC people are found to have broken the law, why won't the law take its course? These NDC guys should stop throwing their weight about. Nobody is scared of their threats.
IF NPP DO NOT KNOW AND THEY MAKE ANY ATTEMPT OF REMOVING THE EC BOSS, THERE WILL MORE DEMO THROUGHOUT GHANA AND THERE WILL BE NO PEACE TOO.
Nasiru, you sound like an I d I ooot, if the committee finds that Charlotte Osei has done anything wrong against the state SHE WILL BE REMOVED FORM OFFICE AND PUT ON TRIAL, she is not above the law. She could not do your bidding in 2016 and she will not be able to do it in 2020. The NDC as a party is finished.
