Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended its Jomoro Constituency Chairman, in the Western Region, Gideon Konibah over his misuse of funds collected from party members in the constituency as well as members in Cote D’Ivoire branch in the run-up to the 2016 elections for the procurement of outboard motors.
The Functional Executive Council (FEC) of the party after deliberations on the matter arrived at the conclusion that Gideon Konibah’s conduct was unacceptable and was in breach of article 46 8(b) and (c) of the party’s constitution.
A letter signed by General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia and sighted by Today, said the “chairman has therefore been suspended from the party pending commencement of disciplinary proceedings by the National Disciplinary Committee.
FEC has accordingly referred the matter to the National Disciplinary Committee for action”.
