The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, says he believes most of the people who attended the party’s ‘Unity Walk’ over the weekend in Kumasi are supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said the NDC believe that the supporters are tired of the government that is why they came out in their numbers to support the NDC’s Unity Walk.
There was a massive turnout at NDC’s 8th Unity Walk over the weekend in the Ashanti Regional capital but the governing party has dismissed the huge turnout as “crowd renting”.
Commenting on the issue on Onua FM on Monday, Mr. Asiedu Nketia said, “one-third of those who attended the walk are from NPP who are angry with the government”.
He said the crowd was overwhelming and that shows how disappointed they are in the NPP as a government.

You are still using the size of crowds as a measure of your popularity after what happened in the last elections? You claimed your last Regional Rally at the Accra Sports Stadium had more people attending than NPP's National Rally, yet you could only manage 44%. Now you are back to using crowds again. If I were you, I would not look at crowds at all
I never expected this crowd even if they were bused. For me it leaves a lot for Wontumi and to an extention NPP to think about.
@Edward .Do you really live HERE, and what happened 5 years ago?
Please Asiedu don't call them mole nexttime.
I kind of have the feeling that the disease called apathy is rearing its head here. NPP is a huge disappointment, Ghanaians are embracing for another lesson. This is how it all started some 5 years ago.....
Obviously this man's brains are scrambled. What happened at the week-end;is it not supposed to be an unity walk?My understanding is that it is organised to unite the factions in the NDC. So if a third of the crowd were not NDC supporters then whom were they supposed to be united with? This guy who lives on a diet of scorpions and spiders ,stood on the stage and told a blatant lie that Nana Addo has said men can marry men and women can marry women. What lie can he not tell?
if n,p.p lose 2020, nana addo will be held responsible by ghana pp, from gh pp
FUC//KING LIAR ASIEDU KWAS..EA
Still in a comfortable lead ,ok NDC keep on dreaming.
Keep on living in a state of fallacy You irresponsible man! You think Ghanaians don't know the difference between good governance and great, loot and share government? Time will sorely tell. You have no shame
