The complexity of human behaviour can be experienced poignantly in the field of politics.
Much as human nature can hardly be predicted, in this game called politics, the narrative departs widely from what the world out there experiences.
A few weeks ago, the NDC flooded social media networks with a video pointing to a convoy of the President touring the three northern regions in which many appointees in the zone were following in their V8 vehicles.
They exaggerated the convoy as having constituents of 40 vehicles, and this was circulated across many networks.
Some media persons who feel pained that their beloved John Mahama was humiliated at the polls also publicized these videos and accompanied them with messages all geared towards sullying the image of the Presidency of Akufo-Addo.
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has embarked on a region-wide tour of the Ashanti Region.
As a listening leader, the President saw the need to change that negative notion of his government and, therefore, asked all appointees including CEOs who would accompany him on the trip to join in two STC buses provided.
This is being hailed by Ghanaians as a great step towards changing the status quo but for reasons yet to be deciphered, a section of the populace has questioned the rationale behind the move. They say it is populist and is intended to douse the bad perception people harbour against the government.
The NDC appears to have been licensed to see evil even when good deeds are being done. They see Satan even when Angel Gabriel or Michael comes down and is in NPP colours.
This cost cut-cutting measure should rather invite boatloads of praises upon President Akufo-Addo not these criticisms which cannot be justified in any way.
The NDC sees in Akufo-Addo what they did not see in Mahama. The virtues being showcased by President Akufo-Addo eluded Mahama, and this, they see to be a recipe for disaster in the 2020 elections. Disater looms large and that is the cardinal reason behind their attacks on this noble initiative.

You should be busy convincing us why Akufo-Addo believes so many uzeless MPs need to follow him everywhere, not such a thoughtlezz article.
ALL HAIL THE LISTENING PRESIDENT. ONCE UPON A TIME WE HAD THE YENNTIE OBIARA PRESIDENT.
Who the hell writes these shitty articles?? Peace FM paaa?? Aaahhh well!!
Who this ***barred word*** wrote. I mean who wrote this nomsense
***barred word*** myopic media. As corrupt as politicians. So Akuffo Addo's ministers are in bus and you post it as news. So this one too NDC and NPP. I think we need forward thinking people to be journalist.
It is not true that the ministers were put in STC bus. I saw them coming from Mampong today and I was really sad. Akkufo Addo should be very careful. Today I counted more than 50 V8 Toyota landcruisers, excluding countless police motor riders. Why is Nana wasting our money like that? Already he has the largest government in Ghana’s history. I am die hard NPP man but I don’t like the way things are going. We are not going to renew your mandate by the number of V8 but development on the ground. So please keep any penny you can get. Learn from the Presidents in Tanzania and Rwanda. A
WHEN DID THE PRESIDENT REALISE THE WASTE IN THE CONVOY FUNFAIR IN SOD CUTTING? WE MUST BE SERIOUS AS A COUNTRY. BUSSING GOVERNMENT MACHINERY FOR SOD CUTTING IS A BIG SHAME TO THE GOVERNMENT.THIS MINISTERS ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK AT THEIR VARIOUS PORTFOLIOS TO PROTECT THE TAXPAYERS MONEY GIVEN TO THEM AS SALARIES.
"Gymii, gymii" comment that does not make sense from ***barred word*** npp goon.
Who are they fooling??!! Alllllll the “big” men have their V8s and their drivers in Kumasi waiting for them. Grow up!!!
In as much as it’s cutting down cost, have we also sat down as a Nation to analyze the implications of putting all these leaders in a Bus? Looking at the way Presidential convoys usually behaves, Is a whole Bus capable of surviving this Rambo style of driving? If the unfortunate thing like accident happens, have we thought of the casualties? Democracy is expensive and if we have chosen to be governed by that, then we need to accept the challenges that goes with it. I will encourage it, If the bus will take a lead ahead of the President.
