Director of Communications under Former President Mahama, Mr Stan Dogbe has debunked claims by Brigadier General Nunoo Mensah that he was sacked by the former President for being too truthful.
“How do you replace me; someone, who trained at Sandhurst with Baba Kamara because you say I speak the truth? So if President Mills chose me as the first of appointees for telling the truth, I will never lie in my life, I have never lied in my life”, the former National Security Adviser revealed in an interview on Takoradi-based Radio 360.
But Mr Stan Dogbe in a Facebook post Monday, said former President Mahama never replaced General Nunoo Mensah (Rtd).
"I believe that we must not let emotions cloud the facts of history because of one's antipathy towards a particular personality. It is the retired General's right to canvass for any person to lead the NDC, but the facts of history must remain sacred. President Mahama did not sack the General because he speaks the truth. President Mahama did not replace him with Ambassador Baba Kamara," Stan Dogbe wrote.
Below Stan Dogbe's full reaction
Facts are sacred!
There are some obvious inaccuracies in statements made by General Nunoo Mensah (Rtd.) in his recent and widely published interview that needs to be corrected.
The retired military general was National Security Advisor (NSA) to President John Evans Atta Mills and continued as such for the unexpired term of the late President under President John Dramani Mahama till they, like all other political appointees, exited Government on January 06, 2013.
He was, like many of us, handed a thank you letter for his service to the government and country and signed by the then outgoing president. Obviouslyno appointee has an automatic carry over just because the same party (NDC) won the elections?
Maybe Information Minister Mahama Ayariga and after him, Edward Omane Boamah can help me here, because unless my memory is failing me, President Mahama after he was sworn into office in January 2013, appointed the highly respected intelligence chief, William Aboah as his first National Security Advisor (NSA). The retired General Nunoo Mensah was then appointed as Coordinator for Human Security. It can therefore not be true that he was sacked and replaced by Ambassador Baba Kamara.
After the Naa Ayele cocaine case, WK Aboah was shifted from NSA to chair NACOB in order to strenghten the anti drug fight. Only then was Ambassador Baba Kamara shifted from his position as Advisor Special duties to NSA.
I believe that we must not let emotions cloud the facts of history because of one's antipathy towards a particular personality. It is the retired General's right to canvass for any person to lead the NDC, but the facts of history must remain sacred.
President Mahama did not sack the General because he speaks the truth. President Mahama did not replace him with Ambassador Baba Kamara.

Who is this stuuuupid first lady flatulating all over this platform. Find medication for the leaks from all your natural openings for you smell too mush. Be bold enough to use your real name if you're not a coward and stop this strong odor you're emitting on this platform.
THE UNITY OF THE NDC IS NOW VERY VERY CLEAR! EDEY BEEEEEE K3K3!
@First Lady Elect: u see ur problem u dont even read well what i wrote straight away u conclude i am NPP. Read what Stan is saying he is not sure he said "if my memory serves me right". What is so difficult about contacting Mahama before issuing this statement? I don't get ur point in any case who in Ghana doesn't know Stan Dogbey's role then for u to educate me on this. Read read read well before u comment
Hahaha But I thought John Mahama and his camp, did told Ghanaians, that he JM is done with people like Stan Dogbe ?
DOGBE THE FOOLLISSHH GUY.
Why do you NDCD0GS can't do your inside politics with the mentioning of the great party Npp. Sham@1@ss NDCD0G3
@Tonga, wo shoa, did you want Mahama to respond to that thrash coming from that spent force of a military General? Do you remember "IF THE KITCHEN IS HOT GET OUT"? Dogbey was Mahama's director of communication at the flagstaff house at the time so has every right to set the records straight. Stop your hatred for Dogbey and dissect the message and not the messenger!
@Kofi fiaxe, please don't allow NPPigs partisan politics clouds your judgment. Mahama never worked alone at the flagstaff house. He had a communication director at the flagstaff house and he is the one who has "spoken". Dogbey may have his minuses because of the way he retaliated against some journalist who caused his exit from JoyFM but that does not prevent him to set some records straight for posterity.
In what capacity are you responding to the claims by the General. Irrelevant materials still want to be recogniZed. GO AWAY BOY
Mr Dogbey why don't u contact Mr Mahama before responding it appears you are not sure yourself . If you say "if my memory serves me right". It means you are not sure. Please
