Former President John Mahama says Ghanaians are looking up to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to what he termed the harsh economic conditions currently being experienced in the country.
He has thus asked the party’s delegates to give him massive endorsement in the party’s flagbearership race in December.
Mr Mahama is currently on a five-day tour of the Brong Ahafo region to meet with delegates in the constituencies as part of his campaign to lead the party into the next general elections.
He said Ghanaians expect the delegates of the NDC to choose the right who will be able to win power from the Akufo-Addo government in 2020.
The former president said after lying to win political power in 2016, the NPP government has brought untold hardship to Ghanaians, who he said, are now calling for the return of the NDC.
He said it is against this that the party should give him the nod because he has the requisite experience in governance as well as the ability to work hard to bring prosperity to all Ghanaians.
Mr Mahama told delegates at various meetings in the Pru East and West, Sene East and West, AtebubuAmantin and Nkoranza South, all in the Brong Ahafo Region, on Thursday that he is committed to unifying the NDC, strengthening its structures and working hard to return the party to power in 2020.
He appealed to all members of the NDC to unite and work with common interest and purpose, noting that disunity also took a toll on the fortunes of the party in the last elections.

John Mahama , simple please as a president for almost 7 and half years name one only one policy which you were able to implement. As far as I am concerned nothing. What at all do you want to bring along again. You had all the chance what prevented you from achieving whatever u want to achieve for Ghana. There is no way Ghanaians will give you the chance to come and sit on the throne and start stealing and choping our money. ***barred word*** oooooooooooo ***barred word***.
This John Ford bribe taker in greedy and incompetent.... You paid your ministers double salary for years. Do you think we are f0.00ls? Get lost.... You never told us one policy you will implement when you come back to power, only making noise...... NDC delegates will soon chop his stolen cash and teach him a bitter lesson.
Even in opposition you are INCOMPETENT smh

HAHAHAAA!!!! SO NDC THIS IS YOU LAST BET. OH POOR PARTY. THEY LACK LEADERS
I WONDER JOHN MAHAMA COULD STILL STAND ON PLATFORMS BELONGING TO NDC TO SAY THE THINGS HE IS SAYING. HE IS NOT EVEN ASHAMED OF HIMSELF TELLING GHANAIANS GHANA IS HARD. WHAT GOOD THINGS DID HE GAVE TO GHANAIANS WHEN HE LEFT OFFICE FOR LOOSING OVER ONE MILLION VOTES AND WAS BOOTED OUT. ALL WHAT JOHN MAHAMA KNOW IS CHOP, CHOP AND BUYING V8 CARS FOR CHIEFS AND GIRLS FROM OUR UNIVERSITIES.HE THINK GHANAIANS ARE FUUULLLSSS, TO BRING HIM BACK HE IS JOCKING AND WE WILL SHOW HIM HIS SMOOTHNESS LEVEL IN 2020.
What is Mahama missing so much about the Presidency that he is prepared to engage in these filthy things in an effort to come back? It is becoming increasingly clear that he is in this just to once again get the opportunity to loot state resources. That is all.
