With Muhammadu Buhari poised to win Nigeria’s 2019 elections, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has alluded that it is a great sigh of relief for President Akufo-Addo in 2020.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako indicated that the fate that has befallen Atiku Abubakar, the main contender of Buhari, would be the same that would happen to former President Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In his view, there is a direct link to the elections held in Nigeria and that of Ghana. For this reason he stated that if a sitting president in Nigeria (Buhari) has won another term to rule, it means that President Akufo-Addo will win another term.
“If Atiku (PDP) is losing to Buhari (APC) as we speak now, then John Mahama should know that he will lose for a second time to Akufo-Addo. The wind of change is still favoring the incumbent and Mahama and the NDC shouldn’t think they can benefit from this wind of change.
The wind of channge is only circulating and favoring parties which are in power and doing the right things, and Akufo Addo has excelled so far as President. “ Chairman Wontumi said.
“He went on to state that “ what has happened to Atiku in Nigeria will happen to John Mahama in Ghana. “
Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has a strong lead in his bid for reelection, according to provisional vote results.
An ongoing tally by Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday evening showed Buhari, who is seeking a second term, was more than 1.5 million votes ahead at the halfway point of state-by-state announcements.
He had won 15 of Nigeria's 36 states at the time of publication with more than two thirds of states counted. Mr Abubakar's People's Democratic Party (PDP) has called for a halt in the count, alleging irregularities.
Delays and violence marred the run up to the vote but no independent observer has said that there was electoral fraud.
Mr Buhari, a member of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) party, is seeking another term in office.

Malam Uztaz never predicted Buhari lost; he never predicted in the Nigerian elections.

nobody will tell you he is from the ***barred word*** kum-ase looking at his dressing. barbaric ***barred word*** calling himself chairman..only for the ***barred word*** people ashante apes.
Where is Mallam Uztaz Jibril who predicted Buhari will loose and that will also affect Nana in Ghana. Now Buhari has won, Mallam what do say then?. You and Ben Ephson should stop collecting bribes from NDC and stop making false predictions.
The word EDIOT is widely used by Nigerians, and there is a reason why they use it. If ediots decide to manintain a non performing Buhari, sit down and assume the same will happen in Ghana. Ghanaians are direct opposite to Nigerians. When we say you should go, you can even rig the elections, you will still go. We are wise beings who are hardly remote controlled. Tickle yourself and laugh.
Wontumi is wiser than most of you NDC folks. He is smarter and speaks the mind of cowards like you NDC folks. Listen to yourselves NDC. Mahama yaaamutu
You are not wise at all. I thought you said PDP were wiser than NDC to present Atiku instead of Jonathan. Ask yourself, if Jonathan were to contest what would have been the result? Unwise chairman.
