Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr., has urged the National Communications Authority (NCA), to find ways of applying some level of 'humanity' and 'common sense' in the discharge of their duties.
The NCA on Thursday closed down two Accra-based radio stations known to be affiliated to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking to this issue on JoyFM's Newsfile programme, he was critical of the NCA's overbearing conduct in handling the issue; and called for finding "a way of applying some humanity and common sense".
To him, it is "wrong" for the NCA to indicate that the affected media houses may not get their frequency back or licenses renewed."
" . . the media; radio is critical for our socio-economic development..." he added.

That is what happens when inexperience party apparatchiks take over from experts. Professionalism is missing and so is decorum. That is why you cannot any commonsense in their decisions.
Why are we like that! When your private security license expires; Ministry of Interior stops you from operating, why should it be allowed when it comes to radio station. Also, renewal should not be automatic as Kweku Baako is advocating it is dangerous. The law and procedure should be strictly followed, if not, the country should not blame no one but itself.
Kwaku Baako, don't annoy me.These people have use expired license to operate for the past 20 years and you talk of common sense? You are annoying. Don't you have licence for your paper crusading guide? Don't be a hypocrite.
these are some of the things that escalate wars in countries. As for common sense, they need to get some into their heads
Ghana people dont like law enforcement. Everything - nny3 hwe, fa ma nyame. Very soon, npp/ndc will team up and grant amnesty to all who have committed crimes including Woyome. No wonder Special Prosecutor seems reluctant to work. No country can develop without rule of law. So the journalists, elder statesmen, pastors, imams, chiefs, and big men who have been advocating for watered-down rule of law should remember that they are retarding progress of the country.
Npp is trying to silence Ghanaians, but that will not wash, the ballot box will take them out come 2020. Ghanaian are not ***barred word***.
You guys see why i always say Kweku baako and anas are biased? I listened to him on newsfile and i was sad. The guy is not objective. How can you call a spade a spoon? The radio station has committed an offence and is being sanctioned then you say the government should relax? Do you tell the government to relax when anas does his bogus investigations and implicate innocent souls? These people think they are the only intelligent people in Ghana hence whatever they do we should follow. When it comes to issues of anas investigations that one the state shouldnt be humane right?
