Are the Minsters above the law? Are they God?
Ministers over the years have abused the courtesies extended to them that is why they have been downgraded to ordinary applicants. it is expected that people who hold high office will follow rules and do the right thing but in Ghana many officials have compromised themselves and cannot be trusted. Priority treatment is the exception and not the rule, merely being a Minister does not entitle a person to all privileges. Kwesi Pratt´s indignation is unfounded and hypocritical because he knows why our Ministers are being treated that way.
@Kwame, Abu Dhabi: Thank you very much for saying exactly what I was about to write. I just don't know what is wrong with some Ghanaians. We always praise public officers or government officials in other countries for following due process just as an ordinary citizens will do but let one of our government officials do the same thing and we will see it differently. It is like we are bent on criticizing anything in Ghana. We were in this country when Ghanaians praised to the highest Mr. Paul Kagami, the President of Rwanda for using drone services to deliver essential medical items to hospitals in the hinterlands in Rwanda. In fact most Ghanaians saw him as Jesus Christ for caring for the sick. The same model was implemented here and hell broke lose. I tell you if what happened at the embassy had happened in some other country, some Ghanaians would have shared the pictures on whatsApp and use it to reprimand our ministers to show the same level of humility yet here we are criticizing the same phenomenon simply because it happened in Ghana. Oh Ghanaians!!! daabi daabi daabi
To Kwaku, German will not present fake documents for visa but Africans do. I am not happy our ministers queue for visa but that will compel them to do the right. Forget about Platt knows all, he thinks America is Cuba.
If someone could define the word ABUSE to Mr Prat, maybe he will understand why MP's are queuing for visas. When the so called MP's disregard rule of law in their own country with impunity. Has Mr Prat forgotten about how these Mp's collapses Ghana Airways or he just want his voice to be heard?Rule of law respect no status except Ghana. Mp's , Ministers, government officials who sit in their homes and order for visas for people who dont even qualify for Visas. My brother ,they did it to themselves
I'm really disappointed in those who see nothing wrong with a minister queuing for visa. Kwasi Pratt, I agree with you perfectly. Those saying is nothing I feel very sorry for u. May God liberates your minds from inferiority & colonialism. An ordinary Germany friend of mine did not even go for interview when he applied to visit me in Ghana. His passport was posted to the Ghana embassy there and the visa was given in 2days and was posted back to him. He shocked when I told him how difficult it is to get a visa in Ghana to Germany. Why are allowing these people to treat us as trash
Eiiiiiiiii Ghanafoo.
For me, i dance on their standing in the sun queuing for a visa to the US. This will show them that if you turn your country to a shiit hole, common courtersis given to some positions will ellude you. Folks, when it comes to such specific matters, some are treated differently from others. For example not everyone has and can apply for a diplomatic passport. Not everyone in a country can travel as part of a government delegation. Not everyone can be a president, therefore some courtersies will be provided to people where same will not be provided to everyone. What i am against is the provision of medical care for government officials abraod whereas others cannot enjoy the same because we can all be ill and those holding the levers of power continuously pilfer financial resources which needs to go to the health sector, therefore i do not see why they should be given treatment outside the country. Travelling is different from health care.
I know Kwesi has travelled all over the world. He should tell us how he obtained the visas. Did he queu or sat in his house and was delivered to him?
ANCLE AKWESI, PLEASE WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT?, WHY ARE YOU MAKING IT LOOK LIKE SOME PEOPLE ARE SUPPER HUMANS WHILES OTHERS ARE NOT. WE ARE EQUAL, LAW IS LAW. OR YOU MEAN TO SAY YOU CAN QUEUE FOR VISA BUT A MINISTER CANNOT. ALL MINISTERS ARE APPOINTED TO SERVE AND SHOW THE WAY NOT TO BE SERVED. EVEN THE PRESIDENT. REMEMBER THE FEET-WASHING PARABLE
