Chairman of the Mines and Energy Committee of Parliament, Emmanuel Akwasi Gyamfi has debunked claims that parliament overlooked the ‘shoddy’ deal of the operations of the Power Distribution Services Limited (PDS) in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.
According to him, his committee did all necessary to look into the deal, but a Minority Spokesperson on the Mines and Energy Committee, Adams Mutawakilu says otherwise.
Adams Mutawakilu told Citi FM that government has been unfair to Ghanaians by not adhering to earlier concerns raised about the agreement.
This comes after government announced a suspension of the concession agreement with PDS, after the detection of fundamental and material breaches of obligation in the provision of Payment Securities.
