General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has described as infantile former President John Mahama's claim of reviewing the free SHS policy.
The former President speaking at the official opening of the 27th Annual Presidential Delegates Congress of the Ghana National Union of Technical Students said he would review the Free SHS policy to make it better.
“I am determined to make the free SHS a beneficial learning experience more than the current miserable condition our children are facing under Nana Akufo-Addo” he indicated.
The ruling NPP is however surprised at the sudden change of mind since they claim the former President and the NDC have been against the free SHS from day one.
Meanwhile, the NDC claims they never opposed the policy.
John Boadu speaking in a panel discussion on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo' said it is 'childish' to just say "you will review the free SHS policy" and that the former President needs to go further to "tell Ghanaians how he intends to accomplish his purpose.
"...he should go ahead and indicate what exactly he is going to do but just saying ‘I will review’ is childish. The NDC should just admit and concede that their previous argument on free SHS was flawed and then indicate what they will do differently; then we compare. Where they not the ones who were questioning where we will get the money to fund the policy, so where will they also get the money to review" he queried.

was it childish when you reviewed most of the contracts signed under mahama government?
did you tell us how you were going to review the numerous contracts you promised to review when voted into power. you have been in government for almost three years, you haven't changed the lives of the people, your free shs which is your trump card has become the panacea to every problems facing the ordinary Ghanaian today. John are you blind to the challenges facing the SHS? Are you saying the free shs is sacrosanct? so if today someone is saying he would review the policy to fix the numerous challenges facing the policy, what crime has he committed.
Ever since he was sacked from office, Mahama hasn’t mentioned any policy of his own. He’s moving around criticizing the F-SHS. Now that he’s admitted it’s a good policy, he should go home and rest. Ghanaians will show him where power lies come 2020. He won’t get even 15% of the total votes. He’s a failure and needs to understand that he can NEVER become the President of Ghana anymore! He had his chance when Ghanaians held him in high esteem but he goofed. Now that his weaknesses have been exposed, there’s no way he can become a President of Ghana. No Ghanaian wants dumsor, GITMO-2, missing speeches, ford bribe etc anymore!!
What did the incompetent one say? Review the SHS? He should tell Ghanaians what is wrong with the current policy. And how he will review it.
All you know to do is talk talk and talk. You blame everything on MAHAMA and NDC. Ghana is watching you guys. MAHAMA is coming back like a messaiah.
You continue with this tangent of politics and you will see. Always talking but we are not seeing anything since we voted you into power. Everyday free SHS! What else do you have to show to convince some of us to vote for you again? Legitimate investment companies are down with our hard earned monies lucked up all becos of you guys and you want us to vote for you. Greedy and selfish pple like you. We leave you in the hands of our God.
The perpetual failures npp have nothing better to offer the country apart from making noise with the ridiculously implemented free SHS which is sooo expensive for the citizen.
I think John Boadu has a psychiatric problem. What's wrong if JM says he will review the FSHS programme? It's clear Boadu doesn't understand simple English.
The apio champion? The drunkard? Sua!!!
You see when you lack knowledge to do something you think that it can not be done at all. What has changed to warrant the the NDC to accept the policy as a good one but needs a review? From 2008 the NDC have been opposing the F-SHS policy with all their political might to the extent of running over 52 TV commercials just to shoot this brilliant idea down with a lame and flimsy excuse that it is in the constitution. And did I hear Kwasi Pratt also saying no one should claim credit for the implementation of F-SHS? My goodness! These people don't know shame. Ok we shall and will give the credit to JDM.
