The Communications Director for the governing New Patriotic Party [NPP], Yaw Buaben Asamoah has said critics of the controversial Comprehensive Sexuality Education [CSE] must ‘shut up’ after the President spoke on the issue for the first time.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has said neither he nor his government has any intention of smuggling “inappropriate” things into the curricula of schools.
Making reference to the alleged introduction of CSE into the basic school curricula, which has been widely condemned by both the Christian and Muslim communities as a “satanic” - President Akufo-Addo told a congregation at the St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, on Sunday, 7 October that such a thing will never happen under his watch.
There is only one thing I want to say: "I think you people have heard within the past days, some discussions have gone on that I and my government want to teach our children some things that are inappropriate. I brought the Free Senior High School [policy] to strengthen the country so that our children will all get the opportunity to learn and through the education, we will all see the progress we want for this country.”
“I didn’t bring it for our children to be taught inappropriate contents. So long as I sit on this big seat as the President of this nation, and as a Christian, it will never happen that I will agree for inappropriate things to be taught in our schools. So, please keep your cool. Whatever they are saying has no truth in it,” he added.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Yaw Buaben Asamoah said the debate must cease after the President’s clarification.

Said he in a drunken stupor !! And the good people responded, "Pathological liars in high places !"
Yaw, not so fast!!! Listen to presidents from Kenya, Zimbabwe and Uganda on this issue and compare it with Nana Addo's. Real leaders are definite in their answers and don't dance around. The curricula has been changed to include ***barred word*** ***barred word*** to our kids. It's only the vigilance of Ghanains that has made this old man and ***barred word*** die hene Napo to back down small.
Nppfo paaaaaaaa na gimi! Ghanaians wanted the phony man to denounce LGBTQ. He didn't say anything convincing. If he is a real man he should boldly say to the whole world in the English Language that he doesn't subscribe to LGBTQ. Unfortunately, the so called Anglican church he visited couldn't tell him, that is not what they wanted to hear. I am not sure any sensible person is persuaded by this bogus meaningless statement.
How can case close when the program is still in 2019 budget. The president is not truthful
You might be out of your mind. You think this matter is one of those corruption issues he comes and clear and everyone keeps quiet. Go and find more apio to drink and allow us to stand for our right. What sensible did he come to say?
