Former Attorney General & Minister for Justice in the erstwhile Mahama administration, Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong after news of the airbus bribery scandal broke, issued a statement denying claims that Airbus paid bribes to some government officials in their tenure.
Part of the statement which was on NDC's letterhead said: "the reports alleging that Airbus SE paid bribes during the administration of President John Evans Atta Mills and John Dramani Mahama are false, misleading and do not reflect the Approved Judgment. Indeed, the Approved Judgment of the Crown Court of Southwark approving the DPA between Airbus and the UK Serious Fraud Office does not allege that any payment was made by Airbus to any Ghanaian Government official."
One may wonder why the former AG responded to the scandal by issuing the statement on the party's official letterhead, when she is not a National Executive Committee (NEC) member.

It is now very clear that the law grade scored by Ghana in the Corruption Perception Index is fueled by activities of the NDC Government. If between 2011 and 2015 we had 'smelling' issues like the Airbus saga hanging over our head, what scores do we expect in the corruption Perception Index. The NDC must apologize to Ghanaians for the disgrace they have brought to the nation. The excuse that no money changed hands is very laughable. Corruption is not defined as money changing hands. Eniguase Akwaaba.
even their so call lawyers are incompetent, a bunch of cr1minal gooons
GHANA MUST RELY ON DIPLOMATIC CORDIALITY WITH UK TO OBTAIN THE COURT REPORTS OF THE AIRBUS SCANDAL CASE TO FACILITATE THE INVESTIGATION. FACTS ARE SACRED. OPINIONS ARE FREE. TRUTH IS SUPREME.EVERY GOOD CITIZEN OF GHANA NEEDS TO SUPPORT THE PROCESS TO INVESTIGATE THIS AIRBUS SCANDAL IN ORDER FOR US TO ARRIVE AT THE TRUTH. ANYBODY WHO HAS ANY FACT OR INFORMATION ON THE MATTER SHOULD BE PATRIOTIC AND TRUTHFUL ENOUGH TO PROVIDE IT TO THE SPECIAL PROSECUTOR OR THE COMPETENT INSTITUTIONS TO HELP THE CASE. WE MUST DEEPEN OUR DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE BY OUR PASSIONATE SUPPORT IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION. WE MUST ALL DESIRE TO PROMOTE SANITY IN THE SOCIETY FOR THE COMMON GOOD OF ALL. THE RULE OF LAW DEMANDS THAT WE SUPPORT TO ATTAIN A GOOD INVESTIGATION AND A FAIR TRIAL AT A COMPETENT COURT OF JUSTICE. THANK GOD WE NO LONGER USE UNRELIABLE TRIBUNALS AND KANGAROO COURTS WHERE PEOPLE COULD BE SENTENCED AND SUMMARY EXECUTED WITHOUT ANY PROPER AND FAIR TRIAL. CERTAINLY HIGHLY POLITICAL OFFICIALS ARE SERIOUSLY INVOLVED IN THIS GARGANTUAN AIRBUS BRIBERY SCANDAL, YET THE RIGHT PROCEDURE MUST BE FOLLOWED. NOBODY IS ABOVE THE LAW. THE MEDIA AND THE PUBLIC MAY ENTERTAIN THEMSELVES WITH ARGUMENTS TO ACCUSE OR EXONERATE THE INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED, BUT IT IS ONLY A COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION THAT CAN JUDGE THE CASE AND PASS SENTENCE. SO WE MUST ALL SUPPORT THE INSTITUTIONS INVOLVED TO DO A GOOD JOB FOR THE CASE IF WE REALLY HATE CORRUPTION.
These P(NDC) people are a gang of mafia..... They create together, l00t together and share together..... they also defend themselves together.
