Daughter of former MP, Hon. Kwamena Bartels, Madam Sheila Bartels has won his father's seat to be the new MP if possible for Ablekuma North constituency.
She had 518 to unseat incumbent MP, Hon. Sheila Afriyie who had 315.
Incumbent Member of Parliament for Okaikwei South in the Greater Accra Region, Ahmed Arthur has also lost his third term parliamentary bid.
He was defeated by Dakoa Newman during the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primaries.
Dakoa Newman polled 440 votes, while the incumbent MP had 327 votes.
Nana Fredua Agyeman Ofori-Atta who also contested in the primary managed with 27 votes.

I will be worried if Nana Fredua had won. I don't want it to look like he has used his family connection to win the race. I hope the sitting mp not to be a sore looser but rather help the the winner to retain the seat with more percentage votes. Ahmed you still have a future in the grand old party.
