NPP General Secretary, John Boadu thinks Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is not a popular figure.
Former President John Mahama on Monday announced the former Education Minister and University of Cape Coast’s first female Vice-Chancellor as his running mate.
And while the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) thinks she is bringing nothing new on board, the oppposition NDC strongly disagrees.
Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu is reported to have said that Mahama should have settled on a different person.
“If he (John Mahama) wanted a woman, when they were mentioning some women who have demonstrable competence who have risen through this House to establish themselves firmly in the feminist [sphere], one such person could have been Hanna Tetteh. She has been an MP before, she has been a Minister of Foreign Affairs. So, she has learned the rules. So, she could have complemented President Mahama," he told the Parliamentary press corps on Tuesday, 7th July 2020.
And to further buttress the Majority Leader's point, General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu speaking in an interview on Neat FM said it will take a long time before she adjusts herself to the political terrain and to gain some popularity.
"Take her to Bukom or let her take a walk from Bukom to Makola and count the number of people who will wave . . . lead her anywhere . . . that's not to say women are not qualified or capable," he told Maame Biama Kwafo on the 'Me Man Nti' programme.

From the above comments I can humble conclude that most of you are missing an important part of our constitution. Vice president has no obligation or mandate to enact any policy. It can also be argued that Mr Mahama selected the almost 69 years old woman to sidelined her like he did to Mr Amissah (blessed memory). Can anyone stop Mr Mahama from his corrupt practice. The only answer is BIG NO. We are all entitled to our opinion. The D day is just around God's willingness.
I made the comment without looking at your picture below, madam, you look adorable.
Oh ! my brother, why disgrace yourself like this. I won't waste my time to talk because you are under the influence of blue kiosk.
You could have worked for 100years, if you were cheating the system, every responsible and candid leader will pay you 1 month salary if that is what you deserve. That is what makes her a leader. You think you can come and cheat the system while the status quo remains. No. This woman and his kind are the ones we need to clean the corrupt system we are operating in Ghana. Unfortunately, professor Mills had same attributes, but never lived longer.
NDC foot soldiers only good at insults. no wonder most of them lives in slums. a very uninspiring and timid running mate adds absolutely nothing to the ticket of a very corrupt, greedy and incompetent flag bearer who is also a scammer. JDM will loose BIG TIME
I worked for 22 months as a teacher but this woman authorized for only 3 months salary to be paid to me. Why should I vote for such a heartless woman? Let’s be truthful to ourselves as Ghanaians. We will all account for our deeds on this earth.
Mahatma has made it with this one. It's a good sign. She's a virtuous woman. I admire the way the woman carries herself, she's tight! She's decent, she's a woman of substance, she has class, she's well mannered and patient. She's not the Ursula owusu type she's civil.

Indeed , I am not an NDC sympathizer ; but something must be put right. Masa John Boadu eeeeeii, is politics reduced to just waving ? Then we have wasted our time paaaa oooo. so you came to power just for the fun of waving ? Heeeerrhhhhhhhhhh
Kpokpoblibli has seriously caught up with the NPP to the extent that right from the Presidency to the least party member, everyone is running helter-skelter. Mahama's swerve has stunned and dazed them to the extent that they cannot come to terms with it. They thought they were wise but the swerve has defeated their intelligence. Even you John Boadu the "Apio Champion" says you should be given recognition. Apuuu tooor. The best competition you deserve to take part is Apio drinking competition.
