Martin Amidu has released into the public doman details of unprintable messages that a certain ''Nana B'' text-messaged him after he resigned from his position as Special Prosecutor.
It may be recalled that the former Special Prosecutor had earlier indicated he has been receiving threats and abusive messages after he resigned from office.
In a statement released after his 27-paged epistle, issued on 26th November 2020, he showed a recent abusive message sent to him which reads; ''On Thursday, November 19th, 2020, I received a telephone call on number 0500007614 which I did not pick the call to avoid receiving any verbal threats of harm to my person and particular because the number was not on my contact list and was unknown to me. The caller then sent me an SMS at 7:40 pm stating that: Otani gyimifoc”. Then yesterday, 27th November 2020 at 3:37 pm the same fellow using the same phone number sent me a second SMS: “Foolish man . . . kwasea like that. Wo maame tw3m mu tw3m”.
According to him, he was able to trace the identity of the texter through a true caller app.
“I showed the two SMS to a son who told me we could identify the fellow through an application on his phone. The true caller application identified the person as Nana B".
But it appears social media is not taking it kindly to Mr. Martin Amidu that the texter who shares similar name with the ruling New Patriotic Party's National Youth Organizer, Nana B, may be behind the abusive message.
This is not to say Mr. Amidu accused the NPP National Youth Organizer of masterminding the vituperation but as a proof of identity, it has attracted the interest of social media users to find out what the real identity of the texter is or might be.
The number, according to a social media user named Mustapha Hamed, who shared a post on his Facebook, indicates that the true name of the texter is Michael Amoh and not Nana B.
"Try sending Momo to the number that called Amidu and you'll see the person's real name as MICHAEL AMOH. Person deliberately saves his number on Truecaller as Nana B. On Truecaller, you can use any name and you can change it anytime. You don't need any verification ID. You don't even need to be told this is clearly someone from the NDC trying to drag the NPP's Nana B into this. I hope the telecos and intelligence agencies can fish this guy out," Mustapha posted.
Peacefmonline also crosschecked by sending MOMO to the number and it confirmed Mustapha's claim that the name is registered as Michael Amoh and not Nana B.

Oh, Martin! So you were going to crucify Nana B of NPP? Please stop what you are doing to protect your name and dignity. This mean you have problem of investigating into issues. You shouldn't have brought this to the public, please. I may be Kwame but can use Osei to identify me on truecaller, Mr.
This person might even be a contracted NDC man.
I can't believe how far this has gone. Nana B is not a full name - I have a couple of friends called Nana B and their official names are not even close looking the same. The fact that you can trace a number to someone called Nana B doesn't mean anything. Looks to me this is just for propaganda
Truecaller is international and more reliable than mono number that is used by fraudsters. Why do you accept the mono name and reject the truecaller? Are you saying that he should have attempted mono as well? What if the mono one is fake? We know that it is the same ntafo in npp who will be unleashed to condemn another otani. We are sick people.
JUST LOOK AT THIS!! IF I WERE MR. AMIDU, I WOULD NOT RUSH TO IMPLICATE INNOCENT PEOPLE. I WOULD GUARD AGAINST MY INTEGRITY, WHICH IS AT STAKE AT THE MOMENT, RATHER THAN WANT TO "MUDDY THE WATERS" AS HE HIMSELF PUTS IT. WHAT A SHAME!!
