The Cape Coast High Court has restrained Mr. James Quayson, NDC Member of Parliament-Elect for the Assin North Constituency from presenting himself to be sworn in on 7th January or carry himself as MP Elect.
Dennislaw Media reported that the court has further ordered that the clerk to parliament should be served with its order with immediate effect.

It is a miscarriage of justice.. Let us be fair. Article 94 of the Constitution says; A person shall not be qualified to be a member of Parliament if he— (a) owes allegiance to a country other than Ghana; Now, at the time of elections, he had no allegiance to Canada. Also during the date of the court hearing he had no allegiance to Canada. That's why I believe it is a miscarriage of Justice.
