President Akufo-Addo has realigned seven Ministries as he set up his government for his second term in office, a statement from the Presidency has said.
“The president has effected this realignment because virtually all these special-purpose Ministries have achieved the purposes for which they were established. The Office of the Senior Minister has also been abolished,” a statement signed by Eugene Arhin, ag. director of communications Office of the President has said.
The seven Ministries include, Aviation, Business Development, Inner City and Zongo Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Planning, Regional Re-organisation and Development, and Special Development Initiatives.
This will result in a total of 28 Ministries, down from the 36 during the president’s first term in office.
