Former Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide has scolded former President John Dramani Mahama for seeking to engage in what he considers as an attempt to question the intelligence of Ghanaians who settled on President Akufo-Addo as their preferred candidate in the 2020 general elections.
Mr Mahama is reported to have attributed his successive 2016 and 2020 electoral defeats to superstition.
According to him, was very sure that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) caused his rejection by the electorate through spiritual means, bemoaning that the electorate seemed not to have seen his positive works as they voted him out of political office.
Reacting to the publication on Okay FM's Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Mr. Enam Hadzide said that the former President of the Republic of Ghana did not show statesmanship in his utterances for portraying Ghanaians as not having a mind of their own.
"Some of the things he [John Mahama] said can be an insult to Ghanaians and I will say that he did conduct himself well. He failed to show statesmanship in his utterance", he scolded.
Whiles cautioning Mr Mahama to be circumspect in his speech, since his recent remarks have brought embarrassment to the nation, the former deputy minister cataloguied why the NDC flagbearer suffered yet another crushing electoral defeat.
"Ghanaians voted in the 2016 and 2020 elections and they voted the way they did because they know that Nana Akufo-Addo has made it possible for 1.2 million of their children to have free access to education at the secondary level. They also know that the Dumsor which was severe some years back was not the same during the election and the state of the economy as well as employment statistics are better under President Akufo-Addo and that influenced their decision to vote for him....
"....being a former first gentleman of the land, he (Mahama) should be mindful of his utterances whenever media approach him for interviews in order to avoid such an embarrassing moments, " he counselled.

What is your new appointment? Deputy minister for visa racketeering?
Mr. Mahama's presidency was a default becuase he never prepared for the position and the opportunity came becuase late Mills died mysteriously. If you critically analysis Mahama's presidency you will noticed that his performance was below the Ghanaians expectation therefore cannot bring him back to destroy Ghana. Again, Mr. Mahama resorted to lies during 2020 electioneer campaign. He never introduced FREE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL but at a point Mr. Mahama said he introduced FSHS meanwhile the same Mahama said that if you have 2billoin Ghana Cedis why do you spend on FSHS meaning that he is against the policy and that statement will come back whenever stand for presidency including the campaign of FREE EDUCTION 419 march NDC did. 2024 NDC will lose again becuase of their past records of deceit and lies campaign strategy
Why did Mahama send the results to the supreme Court?. The Mahama candidate propagandists should sit down and analyse things very carefully. Unlike Akuffu Addo and Atta Mills(blessed memory) Mahama was once a president and the majority of the people didn't want him to be back as head of state. Gradually the npp is settling down to elect Bawumia as their candidate for the 2024 elections and he will be a stronger candidate than Akuffu Addo. Why am I saying that? He is from almost the same region as Mahama and he is a Muslim. For the first time some people especially non Akans who have never voted for the npp for the reason that they thought the npp is an Akan party might have a second look at Bawumia. The Muslim communities tend to vote overwhelmingly for the ndc. The ndc should know that Bawumia is one of their own and it is just appealing and exciting to vote for Bawumia. The npp is going to be a real national party and it is going to dominate Ghana politics for a long time. Those who have ears should listen. The Ndc needs a new face.
