The absence of the Dome Kwabenya Member of Parliament(MP) continue to dominate in the political arena with the General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) describing it as a "headache".
Adwoa Safo has been accused of trying to sabotage the ruling administration. The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong says her absence is disrupting government business in Parliament.
He added, "A whole minister, Cabinet Minister, demanding that now she should be made a Deputy Majority Leader before . . . " returning to Parliament.
Meanwhile, Adwoa Safo’s aide Nana Dubin Kwapong has denied the allegation; describing it as unfortunate and ridiculous. He insists the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection has not demanded to be made a Deputy Majority Leader.
Speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Hello FM, John Boadu said because the Dome-Kwabenya MP didn't go to Parliament as an independent candidate, she owes the party an explanation.
"With our situation, if one or two people absent themselves from Parliament, it gives us headache . . . so this one is also giving us headache . . . we need to take an action because we can’t let one person take anybody for granted. You didn’t go to parliament as an independent candidate; you went on the ticket of the party and so even if you’ve travelled, you write to offer an explanation . . . it’s time for the party to take the necessary action".
According to him, " . . if we get to a point of going for a by-election, why not?"

Hahahaaaa, John Boadu, what's your problem. You also belong to a constituency, go and contest. In 2017 the NPP had 169 MP's out of 275 thus a clear majority. Any serious general secretary should be asking himself, how come in opposition with little resources the NPP was able to win majority seats in the 2016 elections. How come that having been in government for 4 years with all the resources at the disposal of the party, the 169 seats dropped to 137.? If the independent member for Fomena were to take Akuffo Addo by his words that no independent candidate can help him and that any NPP member who decides to go independent is not a true NPP person and therefore decides to join the NDC, that would have meant NPP will be the minority in parliament, even with the current 138/137 see how the NPP is sweating in parliament. If you have a president and a party leadership who are just walking and not looking back this is the price to pay, the very people you meet on your way up are same people you will meet on your way down. Continue misbehaving, NPP is in power but NDC is dictating the pace, they are now begging NPP to bring bills to parliament but NPP is afraid to send them, interesting.
She is an over pampered spoilt brat. Acting like a girl who has not been figged in a long time. Her mischief can be cured with simple kakadro. But she’s not responsible for all npp problems. Npp is a party of greeeedy avaricious people who have borrowed us into unsustainable debt levels. Akuffo addo in addition has long had difficulty working with people who are not his relatives. Paul afoko, boakye agyarko, Martin amidu etc. as for Adwoa get chief of staff to discipline her. # montuano.
