President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo strongly believes the country’s ailing economy will soon be revived.
He assured Ghanaians of his government’s commitment to making things happen despite some challenges.
“Government is working hard to restore our nation back onto the path of progress and prosperity; a path on which our nation was charting before the onset of COVID-19 whose negative consequences have been further exacerbated by the effect of the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” he said in his Easter message to Ghanaians
Adding that, “All these difficulties notwithstanding, I am confident that with creativity, enterprise, hard work, perseverance and unity, we the Ghanaians shall overcome.”
President Nana Addo, however, called on Ghanaians to continue to have hope in his government.
“I admonish all of us to be inspired and guided by this promise of salvation. I ask respectfully all of you to continue to have hope of great times soon for our country.”

Dabi, enko yeeaa. Prior to becoming president we had a lot of hopes in you. Having worked under former president kufour as Attorney general and foreign affairs minister and seeing what he was doing to keep Ghanaians busy during his 8 year tenure we thought you were coming to double all Kufuor did, unfortunately it's like you learnt nothing from kufour. It was because of kufour's sound and well calculated policies that made the NPP very popular even after 8 years culminating in the 49% lead for you in the first round of the 2008 elections, it tells you the NPP was still the preferred choice of Ghanaians. The fact that you saw an active, vibrant and poised NPP support base should tell you the Kufour gave them hopes to want to die for the NPP. In the 2016 elections you didn't procure vehicles for the campaign, it was ordinary NPP supporters who volunteered their vehicles to support your campaign. Today majority of such people are worse off than before. Today there is no difference between an NPP person and an NDC person. Infact the NDC person at can console himself by saying his party is not in power thus his current predicament, what of the NPP person? You hear young NPP appointees who have no biological child of 18 years chanting ' break the 8'. So who's 18 year old son or daughter are you expecting to go and queue for long hours to vote for you only for you to come and behave as if you staged a coup to win power. If Kufuor and his appointees were misbehaving about, you think Akuffo Addo would have come to meet a solid NPP support to ride on to power. The current appointees together with the party executives are doing a great deal of disservice to the NPP. A group of selfish, inward looking, greedy, empty pride people who represents nobody but themselves. John mahama's 'grandfather ' Atta mills is dead. Akuffo Addo's ' grandfather ' JA kufour is still alive and kicking. Unfortunately John Mahama seems to have learnt something from his late 'grandfather '. Unfortunately the one who's 'grandfather ' is still living is not taking advantage of his existence to learn. Anyone who thinks he knows it all knows next to nothing. This is the bane of the current NPP. Kufour's elephant had big ears and listened a lot. Akuffo Addo's elephant equally have big ears, unfortunately it doesn't listen, at best it will hear but won't listen and yet it's banking it's hopes on the NPP supporters to break the eight. If you send your hungry horse to war, know you have lost in advance. NPP becoming a pale shadow of itself under Akuffo Addo ( government) and Freddie Blay (party). Too bad.
