The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has enumerated three vital values he believes could be drawn from the death of Jesus Christ and which should help all make a fresh start on life.
In a brief Easter Message he issued on Friday, the Speaker said in “our due reflection on the purpose of Easter”, we should also aspire to emulate the vital lesson Easter presents, praying that;
The death of Christ would symbolise the end of past grievances.
His burial represent the burial of all things retrogressive, and His resurrection would serve as the ideal example of our commitment to serve in truth, love and peace.
On behalf of MPs, the Board and Staff of the Parliamentary Service, he wished all a Happy Easter.
Below is Speaker Bagbin’s Easter Message in full
The season of Easter is a reminder of the sacrifice of Christ’s body on the cross of Calvary. As the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ mark the greatest pillar of the Christian faith, we, as Christians, are comforted with the knowledge of the gift of salvation.
With the existence of Christianity mirrored by the demonstration of Jesus’ love even at the hour of His death and the symbolic testament of His awe-inspiring altruistic act of service for humanity, may we be guided by this selfless gesture of love during this period.
In our due reflection on the purpose of Easter, let us also aspire to emulate the didactic lesson that this season presents in the embodiment of three vital values:
May the death of Christ symbolise the end of past grievances;
May His burial depict the interment of all things retrogressive, and may His resurrection epitomise our commitment to serve in truth, love and peace.
On behalf of the Members of Parliament, the Board and Staff of the Parliamentary Service,
I wish you all a HAPPY EASTER.

Well said Kubio, i know a very close friend who was suffering in bed because he couldn't satisfy his wife. He started to suspect his wife because they were both young and the wife was also beautiful, in her late 20's. Those of us close to him realized that he was not himself, a vocal person becoming quiet all of a sudden. We mounted pressure on him and he finally disclosed his problem ie inability to perform in bed, in other words sexual weakness. Fortunately another friend who we all sit to converse took this friend of ours to his grandfather and within a matter of days our friends ' hydraulic ' was working at optimum capacity. People who like too much secret die only for the solutions to their predicament in abundance.
That the Speaker is sick is now public knowledge. The challenge is why the speaker is failing to disclose his sickness, i.e. What is actually troubling his body. Sickness is like a product, you need to market it to get a buyer. At times the cure to your ailment may be close to your doorstep but failure to disclose can be your bane. I wish he discloses his ailment to at least his close family. We have African traditional herbs that are more potent than orthodox medicine. Unfortunately 'big men ' always think that the so called best hospitals in the world also offer the best cure. In all this i wish the speaker well.
