Recently elected NPP Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer, Raphael Sarfo says his party can ‘Break the 8’ if the government focuses on helping its youth in the Ashanti Region.
He claimed the government has neglected the youth in their stronghold and might ‘pay the consequences' if they don’t receive their share of the national cake.
“Breaking the 8 is very important to all of us. But before we do that, the youth in the Ashanti Region must also benefit from the government.
“There are opportunities in government and the youth in Ashanti must benefit from their hard work over the years. I promised to make that possible for them so I am pleading with the government and party national executives to help the youth,” Raphael Sarfo told NEAT FM’s morning show, 'Ghana Montie' whiles disusing the aftermath of their regional executive election over the weekend.

You are demanding your share of the national cake for the work done by party foot soldiers. How did the work done for the party translates to GDP? Politicians just waste state resources on party foot soldiers which becomes a burden for the state to bear. Political activism should be a voluntary work but now it’s some people’s full time job. The government initiated ‘planting for food and jobs’ but the foot soldiers are not prepared to venture into the program. They want to be placed in privileged position so that they can steal state resources and get rich overnight just like their party leaders.
