Incumbent General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has lost his enviable seat in the elections held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
He lost by 520 votes to the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Justin Kodua Frimpong (JFK).
According to official results, JFK grabbed 2837 votes as John Boadu polled 2524 out of total valid votes of 5535.

As a myriad of congratulatory messages trickle in for JFK over his resounding victory, a video has surfaced showing his victory didn't just happen by the thumbprints of the delegates, but also and ultimately by divine orchestration.
The video sighted by Peacefmonline shows renowned Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng, one of the men of God popularly known for his accuracy in delivering prophetic messages, praying fervently for JFK before he appeared at the stadium amidst euphoric cheers from delegates and his supporters who awaited his presence.
Prophet Kusi Boateng poured out his heartfelt blessings on the man known for his heroic defeat over John Boadu who had seemed as the delegates' favorite.

The party delegates have spoken. The people you meet on your way up are the same people who will meet on your way down. When people sacrifice their energy, time and resources However little for you thinking that you are all working towards a common goal by voting for you to occupy a privileged position not by right. You know turn 360 degrees to behave in a way as if the position is your right by being arrogant, disrespectful, full of empty pride, this is the results you will get. If you think you can accumulate ill gotten wealth and wait for the last minute to dish out what belongs to everybody, they will take it and throw you out, some NPP appointees ( not all of them) behave as if we didn't know who they were before 2017. Some of the party foot soldiers were far far better than some of the appointees (nothing men) , be it social or economic standing. More so they gave you power through their thumbs. Hope the new executives especially those coming in for the first time learn from the humiliating defeat of those arrogant, empty pride and selfish one's. The ill gotten monies will also fall like their embarrassing fall. How can you have a party general secretary who is not approachable, very snobbish and still think the very people you don't want to come near you will endorse you to continue to misbehave towards them, are they your slaves. If they want handsome/ beautiful men and women, intelligent, humble, neat and honest people to occupy positions in the NPP , which of you ( those ministers, CEO's, and MMDCEs, which of you will come near? 2024 will see similar episodes.
