Latest election survey by Global InfoAnalytics has predicted former President John Dramani Mahama as the preferred candidate to win the 2024 general elections.
The survey indicated should the 2020 NDC flagbearer be given the mandate by his party, Ghanaians will vote for him as the next president over any of the frontrunners of the governing NPP thus, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia or Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen.
The October 2022 report sampled views across the length and breadth of the country and stated that presently, Mahama has more appeal than both the Vice President and the Minister for Trade and Industry.
“In the general elections, the poll shows Mahama (JDM) continues to lead his potential rivals from the NPP, Bawumia (DMB) and Alan Kyeremanten (AKK) by a significant margin if the elections were held today.
"The poll shows further that among voters who are likely to vote in the 2024 elections, JDM leads DMB 62% to 33%, representing a 29% lead. 6% of voters prefer to vote for someone else (SO). In the race between JDM and AKK, JDM leads AKK 60% to 36%, representing a 24% lead. 5% prefer to vote for SO”, excerpts of the survey read.
The report continued: “The poll also shows JDM regaining the Northern region after lagging behind in earlier polls. JDM continues to lead in the North East region, the home region of the Vice President, according to the poll.
"JDM lead DMB 69% to 28% and leads AKK by 29% to 69%. In the North East, JDM leads DMB by 53% to 45% and AKK by 52% to 48%."
In the race for the NDC’s flagbearership, the report said John Dramani Mahama is ahead of all other contenders.
“He leads Dr. Kwabena Duffour (DKD) 71% to 19%. Hon. Kojo Bonsu, attracts 3% of the votes with someone else,7%. DKD’s improvement in the polls suggests that people who had earlier said they intended to vote for someone else in the July polls, opting for him instead”, the survey said.

Concert NDC and their researchers. They take Ghanaian s for granted and ***barred word*** their ***barred word*** supporters with needless speculations. What at all can you vision-less bunch of politicians do to salvage Ghana? As if you haven't been in government before.
here is no way Mahama will ever win an election against Bawumia or Kyeremanten the way Akufo-Addo is one of the best presidents in Ghana. Let the NDC try too hard to portray him as the worst president, but it will never succeed. Ghanaians are just too discerning to fall for such cheap propaganda. A party that does not campaign for office based on the policies and programs it intends to implement, but instead always portrays its opponent as bad, has nothing to offer.
NPP WILL NEVER COME TO POWER AGAIN. NANA ADDO IS THE WORSE PRESIDENT EVER IN GHANA HISTORY. NO WONDER HE BOUGHT KWAME SEFA KAYI AND ADOM OKYERE TO USE THEM TOGETHER WITH OTHER MEDIA HOUSES. THEY HAVE SOLD THEIR CREDIBILITIES TO A CORRUPT GOVERNMENT
NDC only hope to power with incompetent Mahama is that the economy never recovers. How sad ! With some two years to 2024 the economy will definitely improve for all Ghanaians. The best party, NPP will be victorious come 2024!
Fake survey. Where are the results? Give us the numbers for us to also compute and compare with your voodoo percentages.
We don't need anyone to show us how we'll vote. We will vote ndc and John mahama. If they've got any better thing to do, both Alan and bawumia should channel it into making the cedi appreciate. ***barred word*** ***barred word*** thinking we will vote npp still.
@Dan u need to go back to bed
I hope you consulted Auntie Yayo who has 2 of her children in SHS 1?
Not surprising, their boss is the lead campaigner for John Mahama, so cool chop for John Mahama in 2024. Even understand the influence of alcohol John Mahama will not give unguided responses to concerns of the people of the Volta region. He knows what he's about. John Mahama knows those who comes to his aid in his time of need. He knows those who will come for his 'mothers funeral' so he won't respond to their genuine concerns with bizarre answers. Those you meet on your way up are same people you will meet on your way down. This is the first time in the fourth republic Ghanaians are eager to see a president leave the scene. This is the first time the most popular politician in Ghana has turned out to be the most unpopular. You just can't believe he's the one we voted for. Kufour knew what he said when he admonished NPP delegates to look out for a person who can hold the party and Ghana together, today it's ' kufour, come for your stone ' . In some communities NPP supporters can't sit among their colleagues, they will refer you to then and now and you will give up. NPP supporters who volunteered their vehicles, bought fuel to support Akuffo Addo campaign in their communities in 2016 have abandoned the cars and resorted to motorbikes and kak dee i.e. walking. Where on earth will you vote to change somebody's life for the better whilst your life drops from bad to worse. In 2016 majority of the appointees today couldn't afford a motorbike of their own, people supported them with means of transport to campaign. Come and see their lifestyles today, from grass to grace as those who were 100 times better than them nosedive from grace to grass. This particular NPP don't know it's own not to talk of a stranger. Even if John Mahama decides not to campaign, Akuffo Addo will do the campaign for him as his public utterances will inure to the benefit of John Mahama. Ghanaians have never seen a president hitting the ball hard towards his own goalkeeper until now. Amazing.
Interesting findings to put across! Ghanaians have short memories indeed!
