Undoubtedly people are actually suffering, frustrations galore. Currently you can never tell the price of any commodity until you visit the shop. If it's true that government is raking in a lot of revenue from the current high prices of crude oil in the world market, why can't government divide the profits into three, use one third to subsidize fuel prices locally, i believe if this is done prices of foodstuffs will fall because transport owners will reduce the cost of transportation. Fact is that currently nobody is laughing, if MP's are complaining of high cost of fuel at the pump, what will the ordinary public sector worker say. If it's actually true that the current crisis we are facing is attributable to the Russia Ukraine war, is it the case that until the war ends Ghana will continue to experience the mess in which we have been plunged into? Government is about seeking the welfare of its citizens, anything sort of that is meaningless. Even in rural Ghana where cost of living is normally low, the people are not also laughing. Mr president remember, a hungry man is an angry man. Anger can lead people to do the unthinkable. So think outside the box.
