Head of Communications of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagba has appealed to Ghanaians not to lose faith in the Akufo-Addo administration.
According to him, the government is on track to creating more jobs for the youth to prevent them from engaging in social vices as drug addiction and drug trafficking.
He was speaking on the disturbing emergence of some youth going into narcotics trade.
Richard Ahiagba was worried about this trend but strongly believed the youth will adopt proper behaviors when there are jobs for them.
To him, many young people whose lives have been destroyed by hard drugs is because they were unemployed.
The NPP National Communications Director, speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' show, implored the youth to "continue supporting this government for its vision to tackle the biggest problem that Ghana has with youth unemployment".

A football match is 90 minutes barring injury time, it's like the 90 minutes is exhausted without a goal and someone keeps telling Ghanaian's not to lose faith. The fact that you are asking people not to lose faith means you suspect something. Nobody's conscience will deceive him/her. Truth be told, people have lost faith completely, this is what has given John Mahama hope to want to stage a comeback. NPP appointees/government have provided John Mahama with so much 'ammunition to fire' in 2024. All these because the 2017 elephant has very big ears as usual , unfortunately it doesn't listen, at best it hears but won't listen. John Mahama is definitely not the alternative but happenings within this government makes John Mahama looks like a saint. Bet me, he's currently the most popular politician in Ghana. To make matters worse this particular NPP government doesn't care about those who are likely to attend his mother's funeral. President Kufuor had the skill of moving government and party together, the current one is lacking in that skill. Kufuor's appointees never for once forgot where they were coming from, they never forgot of the contributions of the ordinary NPP supporter thus the vibrant party Kufuor and his appointees left behind. Remember the NPP under Kufuor nearly Broke the 8 in 2008, the current president led the first round of voting by 49%, that should tell you the NPP was still the popular choice of Ghanaians after 8 years. Can same be said today? The answer is yours.
I am afraid it is too late. He's messed up the economy.. It's the economy my friend. He doesn't listen and make talk too much without action.
