Dan, you are entitled to your opinion. I disagree with you. When you love your country, you do what is best for your country. Frimpong Boateng was part of Kuffour’s govt. Did he get into trouble for serving in that government? Why blame him? Through what lenses are you assessing what is going on here? Are are you Akuffo-Addo’s son?
One can't just tell what informed Professor Frimpong Boateng's decision to accept a ministerial post. Was it for fame, honour, money or what? This is someone who has made it in life, you are internationally acclaimed as a renowned heart surgeon. You established the Cardiothoracic Centre at the Korle Bu teaching hospital, your name was and still is a household name in Ghana so what again will attract you to want to be a minister in Ghana where those in politics are losing their respect on a daily basis because the ordinary man in the street has come to see them as a group of people who represents nobody but themselves. Today see what is happening to you, people who may never have come near you because they are not your equals are those putting their hands on your shoulder and saying, 'Prof, you are under arrest'. Small boy ministers some of whom are seeing monies never seen before until they became ministers are now exchanging words with you, one of them as young as your fourth born. In as much as i sympathize with Prof Frimpong Boateng, i strongly hold the view that accepting to be a minister was a wrong move.
