The Founder and President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Rev. Lawrence Tetteh has expressed concern about his place of birth being a ‘notorious’ neighbourhood for homosexuals now.
The man of God who was born in Accra James Town, a community inhabited primarily by the Gas told GTV's morning show in an interview monitored by Peacefmobline.com that the community is now a “mess”.
According to him, indigents now openly endorse and practice all forms of LGBTQ+ activities despite its consequences.
“I was born in James Town, and it is a privilege to be born in James Town. But in that community when you go there now it's a mess. Why should we impose LBGTQ+ on our children? Why do we want to destroy our nation,” he lamented.
Rev. Lawrence Tetteh was reacting to the International Community's attempts to force the acceptance of the LGBTQ+ practice in Ghana.
Following the passage of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill (Anti-LGBTQ+ bill) on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 - the International Community has expressed their disapproval of warned that Ghana will face some economic challenges if the bill is assented by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Referring to LGBTQ as nonsense, Rev Lawrence Tetteh states that it cannot be taken to certain parts of the world.

Lawrence Tetteh, i totally disagree when you say " the international community has expressed their disapproval. There are a lot of countries constituting the " international community " who are against same sex marriage . You can't practice or even talk of same sex marriage in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Indonisia among several others. Why is America and the other European countries in support of gay and lesbian activities silent about these countries mentioned. The United States has an ambassador to Saudi Arabia, why can't he go on Saudi national TV to talk about the rights of homosexuals. Is Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran etc not part of the international community. Why are they doing choose and pick? If Ghana had a leader ,with gold, diamond , bauxite, manganese, cocoa , timber, crude oil, lithium, two giant harbours, vast arable lands and a population of 30 million majority of whom are the youth we will NOT need a penny from any country to live meaningful lives. Unfortunately , Ghana has not no leader after Nkrumah. There is no way homosexuality will be legalized in Ghana, no way. In a democracy the majority views hold even if they are wrong. Sodom and Gomorrah in the bible is there to guide us unless the bible is not to be taken seriously.
Western and alien culture and cancer must be cut off as final solution. Africa is best place to be. Those unemployed who think the grass is greener in Europe regret when the risk getting there and see Europeans unemployed homeless and paedophilia and lgbtqrst is acceptable culture Europe is poor and a sham. Africa is now standing up.
Well, some people do these stuff s for the pursuit of wealth. So because, they see some people in society openly display wealth in public, the source of which they have no idea. To those guys, anything goes. So they do what they do to also “show some”. When politicians, clergy, and the likes are “stealing”, what do we expect? If I were to be the president, I would sign this bill in earnest and let’s all bear whatever the consequences may be. After all, the politicians including the clergy have solutions to all our problems.
Most Ghanaians resort to emotion instead of reason when discussing this Bill. I beg to differ from the man of God when he suggested lgbtq* destroys nations. The facts don't support that. Look at the state of African countries whose majority population abhor lgbqt+ activities with a passion! just take a good look at the continent of Africa. Rev Dr. Tetteh, you mean your citizens are dying in droves in the Sea just to leave their "pristine" countries behind and move to "destroyed" nations which practise same-sex? It is bad and corrupt governments which destroy a counry, not homos!. Politicians rob us blind and we tsupidly still address them as honourables . What a pity?
