STC Chief Executive Officer, Nana Akomea has expressed worries over the current power cuts confronting Ghanaians.
Although the government has refused to acknowledge the situation as 'dumsor', Nana Akomea, addressing the issue on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' show Tuesday morning, kept referring to the current problem as 'dumsor' and called on the authorities to treat the problem with urgency.
He warned the electricity suppliers against the impact of the electricity problem on the government, stressing this is an electioneering year and the persistent cut of power will gravely affect the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the impending December elections.
"If we don't resolve the problem early, all the seven years that our lights stayed on will go waste. This year is also an election year and if we don't do it early, it will go against the government . . . we have to let Ghanaians know why this dumsor is happening, whether it is a financial challenge or something else, and the government must find ways to address it," he warned while calling on the Electricity Company of Ghana to swiftly resolve the challenge.

See these jokers. Initially you lied that this is not dumsor. Again you failed to admit that it was a government related problem but rather the energy providers'. So how come government is now the one giving timeline for when it will be solved? Does this NPP government have any shame? I doubt it, they have scattered everything and what's more annoying is their shift of blames and positions. Bawumia is a genius when things falsely look good, he's only a mate when it's obvious to even the dumbest person that things are really terrible. The way they don't have a firm standing, that's the same way they have been running this country, God please let Dec come quickly.
Nana Akomea, NPP is already in opposition why worry about this dumsor?.. in any case, you guys said it is not dumsor.
NPP are serial liars. Even if the power situation improves now, NPP will never get my vote. They have lost it forever. They are crooks who only came to steal from the national coffers. The president and his appointees are arrogant, vindictive, corrupt and incompetent. They have indeed made Mahama look like a saint.
Massa, your Government is not serious and they take the Ghanaian for granted as if they themselves have given up hope of "breaking the 8" why are they such liars and then they have the audacity to minimize the dumsor issue as well by comparing it to 2012. Look in 2012, compared to 2024, thanks to Bawumia, everything has moved digital, thus it is an existential crisis when electricity which powers the internet is off. In other words the impact of dumsor now is more than ever very critical due to the digitization agenda by Bawumia. As if that is not enough, Bawumia now wants Ghanaian buses to be charged by electricity when electricity is not even stable, these guys are not serious!!
now the polically blind man is coming back with his senses, nana akomea is such a fine mind but politic has made him ***barred word*** and lair, like his bosses lair and failure
