US-based Ghanaian international gospel recording artist, Steve Kelly responded to Sonnie Badu�s comment in code Ghana Gospel Music don�t make sense an article written by Daily Guide and also posted on Ghana Music.com.
Speaking to Kevin Adisi of Ghana Music.com via telephone, Steve Kelly believes Ghanaian gospel music makes a whole lot of sense as well as Nigerian. "Gospel music is a life style so every gospel music writer or artist writes songs base on a life style.
The major problem with Ghana gospel music and musician as a whole has to do with management that includes artist development, musical arrangement and production.
Steve Kelly, the first African to win Eagle Award in the history of the American Eagle�s explain how important it is to encourage Ghanaian gospel artistes in Ghana simply because the are struggling with a broken music industry.
"Kevin my final advice to gospel artistes in Ghana and world wide is that gospel artistes, we need to be true to ourselves and be a doer of the message we preach and by doing that we say this is a true worshipper, Steve Kelly said.
I also thank God for my Brother Sonnie Badu�s life and the great things he is doing in the UK to the glory of God.
