Veteran Highlife Musician Rex Owusu Marfo popular know as Rex Omar has stated that Dr. Sheikh Amin Bonsu, CEO of Amen Scientific herbal hospitals is a joker.
Rex, who is also the Chairman of Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO), reacting to a statement made by Dr. Amin Bonsu, that “serious-minded people don’t listen to music”, said he is disappointed in medical practitioner for making such as statement out of ignorance, describing the doctor as a “joker”.
Dr. Sheikh Amin Bonsu, CEO of Amen Scientific herbal hospitals during an interview said he has no knowledge of most popular musicians like Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale because he is busy working as a medical doctor, so he doesn’t have time to listen to music. He told SVTV Africa in an interview that, he is a serious-minded businessman so he does not listen to music. He added that people who engage in entertainment, specifically, music, are not business minded.
“I don’t have time to listen to music because I am a very busy man. It takes hard work to be successful in business, not music. No business minded man is a fan of music”, Dr. Sheikh Amin Bonsu said.
This statement, Rex Omar believes is a statement made out of sheer ignorance.
“Who told him music is only used for entertainment? Even the almighty God who created all of us including the doctor, music is what is used to praise Him. Doesn’t he use music for his radio and television commercials? There are people in this country, who pretend to be serious-minded and they are not serious at all. Serious business people listen to serious music”, Rex stated on Neat FM's "Entertainment Ghana.
He added that music is used as therapy to heal people all over the world, so the doctor doesn’t even know what he is talking about.
“Has he heard something called music therapy? There are certain diseases that no amount medication from Amen Scientific herbal hospital can cure it, only music can heal it. He doesn’t know what he is talking about so I forgive him. He is a joker!”
Doctor Sheikh Amin Bonsu, is the founder of Amen Scientific herbal Hospital, a facility which has over 30 years expertise in herbal and alternative medicine.

Thank you. Moreover the doc has a right to speak his opinion; I dunno why he should retract or otherwise. If he speaks it’s not on authority so I don’t see why it should be taken too seriously. Brian Tracy has said the same thing; who has asked him to retract??Music is truly not for serious minded people indeed.
This doctor has made a statement you should consider it very well upon the music being heard today and waisting time going to gatherings to see people putting music behind them and expressing the real meaning of being on the stage ; show offs ,mounting their private parts etc . Does it concern me when some one shatch some ones girl that you may transform it to music for the massas to hear ? In fact lots of the music we hear today and going on top is what i will not waiste my time to listen to .It's a pity Vodaphone has close it's eyes waisting time to give award to such types of music .
The herbal practitioner must retract that statement. He has insulted Allah. Is he saying Allah doesn't appreciate music? O4 what does Herbalist Amin understand to be music? Please, quickly retract your statement. When you realise you don't know and confess that you don't know, you are forgiven. But when you don't know but think you know, you are something else, please.
