Ace choreographer and musician, Slim Buster, has for some few years been out of the country and missing in the Ghanaian entertainment circles. His fans, especially on social media, who could not keep up with his absence started asking questions of his whereabouts.
In an interview with Sammy Flex, host of AM Pluzz on Pluzz 89.9FM, Slim Buster stated that he left Ghana for the UK, where he stayed for quite awhile – because he could not bear the pressure of the power outages (Dumsor) that hit the country a few years ago.
He added that the cost of fueling his cars, home, studio and power plant was becoming unbearable and money-consuming.
He was therefore left with no other option than to seek greener pastures overseas.
Ebenezer Asare (Slim Buster) entered the Ghanaian music industry in 1986, after he won the 1986 National Dance Championship competition. He later left the shores of Ghana for UK, to study music and sound engineering.
On his return to Ghana, Slim Buster decided take up music as a full time job and established his own recording studio at Darkuman in Accra.
In 2000, Slim released the album, ‘Masanaba’, which was an instant hit. He followed it with ‘Eye Fe Keke’ in 2001, which featured the hit track, ‘Mina’.
In 2002, he came out with Baby, which won an award for best video, at the 2002 Ghana Music Awards.

Oh Slim, there are other musicians in Ghana and still making it? Shatta Stoneboy, MisVee, Becca, Edem are all here and still making it in spite of the so-called dumsor. Why are these ladies better managers than you? Tell me a different story; I don't think my 'role-model' is a quitter.
ndc strategy or whatever u call yr self u prefer poverty to what. u are not serious do u know tribalism is more dangerous.even Ghanaians have been able to accommodate the ndc divide and rule tactics u shd be able to accommodate the so called tyrant oppressor. I do know yr age but if u want a tyrant never go far just check on rawlings during the revolutionary era even that Ghana accommodated him. would u pls ***barred word***?
i am a hard working young professional, all i need is peace i don't want a tyrant, oppressor, elite who is full of himself, someone who don't accept dissenting views to rule this state. it is a free country not for any other self obsessed group. that is why i am voting for JM, I prefer to live in abject porvety and free than living in an oppressed and rich country. Do you know why i just won't vote for Akuffo Addo because he accepts no contrary view except patronage. THE KING IS NAKED SIMPLE
NDC knows that only jobless people vote for them. That is why no holiday for DEC. 7 so that middle class and business people will not have time to go and vote. Ghanaian, working class and business men, the best thing you can do for your business and future is to go and vote out NDC. Even if it takes the whole day. That will be the best investment ever.
