See I’m going to keep this very simple because I know no matter how well I put this people are still going to find a reason to be offended.
There’s public outrage over an interview President Akufo-Addo granted in which he said that the legalization of homosexuality was bound to happen.
Now I understand your anger if this is a practice you’re against, especially if it’s one your religion forbids.
But the president response doesn’t in ANYWAY condone the act, in fact he maybe equally against it.
But he wasn’t voted into power to enforce his own personal beliefs on all of us, he was voted to represent ALL the citizens of the country irrespective of their beliefs and practices.
Which is why he gave an intellectual response, devoid of emotions to that question.
Because years in LAW school would have taught him about human rights and the realities of any minority group.
Legalization of anything doesn’t suggest that everyone agrees with it, it’s to protect the few who do; which is why there are still people in America against homosexuality and are free to be, so long as they don’t harm those who’re for it.
The law exist to protect ALL its citizens and not impose ones personal beliefs and views on another.

When the ***barred word*** of man and his below animalistic tendencies is not controlled by natural and generationally tested norms and behviours then very soon we will find people without cloths as passengers on vehicles, naked men and women working in offices because is their right. People advocating for human rights for all kinds of minority groups should also support the legalization and liberty to take all kinds of drugs, people should have the right to use all kinds of drugs without any restrictions because is their right- cocaine, marijuana, opium, heroine etc should be sold on tables on the street without any restriction because is human right. And lets see what whether we will enjoy human right or human wrong. Gayism is not only wrong in religion, it does not simply wash in common sense.
I admire your intelligence and the way you think. Alot of Ghanaians emotionally analyze stuff and alot of times they loss the intellectual aspect. Lydia in her write up is not in support of Gay here. Listen, the gay and Lesbians are part of the citizen, they also voted and as a president you present your case in manner where all feel your are indeed the father of the nation. Occultism, ISIS group, Gayism, Lesbianism, Judaism etc all exist in the country.Just that they are on the minority. Today, we have christians, muslims and the traditionalists on the majority who frown on this acts so it abodminable. Most of these gay and Lesbians are christians and Muslims, they pay tithes, some are CEO and alot you may be partners with them. You embrace them all the time. Simply the morals of our country has fallen. We accept Ebony, one corner dance, Shatta Wale etc. and we get excited about them. In the near future the fallen morals will brings us to the point where we would have no choice than to legalize all manner of things.Gayism, marijuana, Lebianism, Occultism and the likes. And i think that, that is what the president seeks to say.
Sometimes, I wonder the kind of christian background Lydia was brought. I personally have issues with you. How often do you visit your hometown? Don't tell me you have soon forgotten about your father's legacy in the church...... This is one thing I will say, " seeking attention", right?
so if we have some of these people living in our communities, is it right? if their parents were engaged in gaysim will they have being in being in the world? Are they saying their wiser than the Creator and saw that everything he has made was beautiful? you wait one day they will "spoil"your little brother or small boy's "back" and you will will see whether it's good or bad
TRUE TALK
Please we are in a democratic dispensation so lets allow freedom of expression. Lydia made her comments without insults so where from all these personal attacks on her? Our president also did not speak in his personal capacity. Neither did he speak as a representative of Christian council.
Akua, if you don't understand what Lydia is saying, then let me explain to you. We are saying if Lydia is talking about Human right for GAYs, then it should be extended to everyone, including Armed robbers, Paedophiles and ***barred word***. Everyone should be given the right to do what he or she want. And mind you, if this Ghana or world turns into a jungle, your vajajay will no longer belong to you. That's how nauseating it is.
should every statement of the President be a talking point of dis country. Ghanaian shd stop dis attitude, let pray n talk abt the good things the govt what to do and stop it talks
what did this lady write to merit such responses. and what did the president really say to agitate so many so called learned citizens. the president didn't say anything for or against and neither has this lady said anything for or against. infact if I am correct, she was just trying to make dense and shallow minded people understand what the president said. chai! Ghana!
Lydia from our write up you said, we have to protect minority groups by law. We have a majority group marijuana smokers by no body is talking about legalizing marijuana. What do you say about that as well.
