Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has disclosed that so many attempts by her to meet President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo have proved futile.
According to her, some faceless people are making it difficult to book an appointment with the first gentleman of the county.
She made this revelation in an interview with Sammy Forson on Joy FM’s “Personality Profile” on Thursday.
“I am a Ghanaian. I love the NDC and NPP. I have been trying to meet the president and I guess the people around him are making it difficult. Yeah I wanted to address him but I guess when the time is right I will meet him” she stated.
Yvonne Nelson noted that, there are a lot of issues that she needs to discuss with President Akufo-Addo to boost the movie industry.
“I am not too happy but at the right time I will address it. I mean the movie industry. Also tourism, government, stuff about Ghana that I need to address. Maybe now they don’t take us seriously but they would…”she said.
Ms. Nelson is certain most governments don’t believe entertainers have power to turn the fortunes of Ghana around.
“We want to promote the tourism sector but the road networks are bad. I was on my way to Kakum National Park and I nearly returned so why would a tourist go through that. There are things that need to be address so when the time is right some of us will come up.
“We are entertainers they don’t believe us but when the time comes they will know…” she noted.

but she contributed to the NPP victory by organizing dumsor vigil. why are you guys denying her from the fruit of her labour
Please focus on addressing your marriage and life
See. It is not for nothing that one must go through some rigorous means to see the leader of a nation. You will appreciate things better if you find yourself even in any leadership role, especially that of politics. My advice to Yvonne Nelson, is that don’t rush to media for such news, because that will not change the protocol. Just keep on trying, and most importantly through the sector Minister. That is the right thing to do, else you will be frustrated, because the security personnel at every Presidency work under the instructions of their superiors which the President has no knowledge as to who does what, except the general briefings by the security bosses.
masa what do you want from him...RESPECT YOURSELF ..YOU UNGRATEFUL MOVIE ACTORS...WHEN KUFFOUR HELP TO BUILD THE MOVIE INDUSTRY ,YOU TURN AROUND AND LET THE NPP GOVRNT DOWN AND WENT TO SUPPORT ***barred word*** ..NOW YOU DDNT HAVE MONEY AND NO MOVIE FOR YOU...SO WHAT...MASA GERROUT AWAY..APONKYE
What does this b1-tch want to discuss with the President and cannot do with the Minister? What is the essence of the Minister in charge of Tourism and Creative Arts? I would have wish to hear she made attempt to see the Minister to no avail that is why she want to meet the President. What is Yvonne Nelson's statute in the Entertainment industry? Does she hold any leadership position in the industry? Enough of these n0ns1nce of I want to see the President and people do not want me to see him. Any ***barred word*** will wake up and blame somebody blocking him or her from seeing the President. Is it because the candle light vigil she held for the Dumsor? She has no stature to request to see the President. She can see the Minister.
This thing keeps coming up. That money exchanges hands before appointments are arranged. Venomous critics are quiet about happenings in this government compared to how (as we now know) their constant criticism of the previous government for their own selfish gains. OccupyGhana's comments are made about non-issues. At best, Franklin Cudjoe has been left a lone ranger to fight the cause. God is watching.
