Ghanaian Songstress, Mzbel born Belinda Nana Akua Amoah has responded to actress Yvonne Nelson who bemoaned the fact the Volta Region remains the World Bank of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) but roads to the area are in a deplorable state.
According to her, the roads have deteriorated over time under the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration because they have refused to maintain them indicating her response was not borne out of politics.
“I mean no harm whatsoever but Obaa what u dont know is that roads not maintained for 2 years will deteriorate. The current government has not worked on that road for two and half years.Let’s put politics aside and speak as Ghanaians”, Mzbel said in a post .
On Monday April 22, 2019, the actress took a swipe at the people of the Volta Region for massively throwing their support behind the National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the years but sadly have nothing to show for it.
According to the actress, it’s a shame that over the years they have been among the regions with the highest number of voters for the NDC but they have failed to secure the needed development compared to other areas in the country
She made this know through a tweet while journeying to the region. She said ” By the way, VOLTA REGION, I am shocked!!!! After all your strong votes and numbers, your major road network from Akosombo to Ho is terrible, one can easily die on this road! I cant believe it, we swerved potholes like playing football”.

I believe YVONNE as usual was in a haste to meet someone that might have just called her that he was one of the fathers of her childrents and out of haste the potholes along her way thwarted her effort. sorry waii but keep on the search the lord will fight for you. NDC my sister,is seriously innocent of your PREDICAMENT. Sorry Paaaa.....
Mzbel come again. Maintenance after two years. You are a problem yourself that has to be dealt with is all I can say.
Yvonne Nelson should ***barred word***. Has she ever voted before? She should go and look for the real father of her baby. ***barred word***
If you are ***barred word*** then let somebody teach you so many things before you come out to open your mouth in public. Can some body knowing he is loosing an election, quickly arrange to cut sod to start a road without the contract sum being approve by parliament and the road can be done?.Any road that the parliament has approved and the money is secured cannot be discontinued by the next government unless there serious defects in the contract.
Mizbel or whatever you call yourself it's only naive and unreasonable people who think a road detiorates after 2 years of non maintenance or maybe if poorly constructed. Ask your NDC if they really did a good job and stop disturbing our ears.
You hail from Agona Swedru area, ask your parents how long did Oda-Sedru road lasted. That road was completed in 1962 by Saka and lasted for almost 40 years. Kanazoe made road under Mahama and lasted less than 3 years and you are talking about maintenance.Any good road should last for at least 10 years before major repairs. So Mzbel shut your okro mouth. Mahama will not come to power for you to get free cars and money.
Mzbel, Rawlings ruled Ghana for 19 solid years. And Mills-Mahama for another 8 years. Total NDC rule is 27 years. Ask your NDC to show you the roads they constructed in the Volta Region for the 27 years. I was in the Volta Region in 2015. I was baffled by the bad nature of the much touted Eastern Corridor Roads. To satisfy my curiosity, I asked questions and drove along the road. I think Yvonne is right to express the shock she is talking about. The people of the Volta Region have not been sincere to themselves over the years. But nobody is telling them to vote for another party. The NDC, good or bad is their political inheritance.
Nelson. why u have nothing to do so u open ur mouth. have u been to ksi and are the roads also good??
Mzbel, even Ablekuma Manhea is also NDC strong hold, the road is not constructed and very bad. what did the NDC do for them. shame unto you.
You are all wrong .let me tell you NDC gave a road contract to some contractors immediately NPP came to power they halt all road contract that awarded to the contractors, if they were to be continuous by now they have reach somewhere or even finish so let blame the current government and stop trowing dust to peoples eyes Mizbel you are right.
