Executive Director of the Danquah Institute, Gabby Otchere-Darko has called for the proposal of a bill to impose stiff penalties on people caught committing adultery.
This comes on the back of the conversation around the controversial anti-LGBT+ bill presented to parliament for approval.
Gabby Otchere-Darko has previously expressed his thoughts on the matter, calling out the promoters of the bill for working actively to get Ghana blacklisted for hate. In a more recent tweet, he has proposed a Private Member’s Bill to be presented to parliament, which will impose rigid sanctions on anyone caught committing adultery.
In his opinion since Ghanaians are parading themselves as a staunch Christian country with cherished Christian values, adultery which is a crime punishable by death according to the Bible should also be criminalized by the law.
He tweeted: “Majority of Ghanaians are Christians. They believe in upholding Christian values. Adultery is a serious sin punishable by death (Lev. 20:10). I am therefore proposing a petition to Parliament for a Private Member’s Bill for a law against adultery, imposing stiff penalties.”
Gabby’s appeal is a call in the right direction since one of the reasons Foh Amoaning is fighting so hard against the LGBT+ community is because he claims homos*xuals are the reason each one of us is going to hell.
Adultery is one of the ten worst sins according to the Bible, so maybe the moral crusaders should take that up too.
If they are going to condemn one perceived sin, they might as well condemn all.

Adultery
Adultery: Sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not their spouse.

Wondering if Adultery is also "unnatural".
Obviously Gabby is scared of Ghana getting blacklisted for being anti LGBTQ+. But why do we always need approval from the Western world to live our lives? I guess its because we always carry our cups to them. We need to protect our culture and values. LGBTQ+ is not part of our culture and values. Gabby's stand is no different from the historical antecedent of the colonisation of Ghana. LGBTQ+ is gradually infiltrating our culture with the so called minority right. This right has not been known to exist in Ghana until its recent importation. Ghana is made up predominantly of Christians, Islamic and Traditionalist with the Christians being in the majority. All these religions are against LGBTQ+. The Bill seek to put matters of LGBTQ+ to rest. The Constitution of Ghana allows for freedom of association and assembly. This does not mean freedom of membership of criminal association or assembly. Until we legislate against LGTBQ+ their promotion and gatherings will gradually infiltrate our social life.
Please the definition of adultery is wrong as per the Bible. Adultery only involves a married woman and not a married man. Read your Bibles well.
Eeeaaa... Peace FM... Just cannot decide which content gets and needs attention. By His analogy, implementation will be an issue even when his proposal is passed into law cos we have anticorruption laws sitting in our statute books but the likes of him are freely walking about. He should spare us the fakenes. We are not prepared to be slaves forever. Let us emancipate ourselves from mental slavery and rise to the occasion as true Ghanaians and not as lost fake living things but as human beings who can think for themselves. God save us from the authority of such boot-lickers.
