The National Road Safety Commission has cautioned motorists and other road users to refrain from engaging in wild jubilant celebrations after soccer matches during the World Cup tournament.
The commission says the practice where people engage in frenzy and wild celebrations especially after victorious black star matches sometimes leading to fatalities is needless.
Speaking to Ultimate Radio in an exclusive interview, the Ashanti Regional coordinator of the National Road Safety Commission, Thomas Bismarck Boakye intimated that “moderation in jubilation should be the watch word for all”.
He emphasized that drunk driving and careless flauntful motor bike riding displays that endanger other road users during the period will not be tolerated.
Thomas Bismarck Boakye said the Commission and the police will be on the look out to arrest and prosecute people who dare fall foul of the law.
