President of the Rugby South Africa representing Africa alongside Namibia in the ongoing 2023 Rugby World Cup have extended a heartfelt gratitude to the Rugby Africa for support thrown their way.

In a letter that has been intercepted by kwamefilla.com, Rugby South Africa have extended gratitude towards the generous act by the Rugby Africa led by its President, Herbert Mensah.

“I wish to express my deepest gratitude for the generous and inspiring words contained within your letter.

“It is with profound humility that we accept the esteemed responsibility and privilege of representing our great continent, bearing the collective hopes and aspirations of its people.

“We are deeply touched and honored to be entrusted with this role, which we wholeheartedly embrace. Our team’s core philosophy underscores the equal worth of every individual, regardless of their role or stature, within the broader context.

“We believe that the success of the African team, located at the southernmost tip of our continent, can resonate far beyond the equator and the shores of the Mediterranean, uniting our African brothers and sisters in shared joy.

“Under the exceptional leadership of our captain, Siya Kolisi, and the guidance of our director of rugby, Rassie Erasmus, we have demonstrated that unity among people from diverse backgrounds results in greater strength. In many ways, this serves as a blueprint for rugby in Africa.

“Once again, I extend my heartfelt appreciation for your kind wishes. Our warriors have embarked on their journey, and it is immensely gratifying to know that we have the unwavering support of Africa Rugby” – the South African Rugby President, Mark Alexander.

The South African team secured a resounding victory against Scotland in the opening game of the World Cup in a 18-3 series at the Stade Velodrome, Marseille on September 10, 2023.

South Africa play Romanian on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the Bordeaux Stadium.
