The 18-year-old moves from Serie A side Genoa where he managed only four appearances in the top flight.
The Ghana Under-20 player completed his move early this month before joining the national Under-23 side in camp for the final All Africa Games qualifier against Nigeria.
I cant say anything for now but I hope next season will be better. I want to remain silent on the move for now, Boakye-Yiadom told GHANAsoccernet.com
Sassuolo finished 16th last season and want to improve next term.
Boakye-Yiadom is well known for his scoring exploits after netting on his Serie A debut two seasons ago for Genoa at age 17.
