Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan missed out on making his Vitesse Arnhem debut night due to work permit problems.
The 24-year-old who joined the Dutch Eredivisie side earlier his week could not secure the necessary paper works for his league debut.
Annan needs more game time to protect his international career after being left on the bench at German Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
He trained with his new teammates and excited boss John Van den Brom.
Annan should be available for their next league match.
Vitesse are in fourth place on the league but could slip further Saturdays round of matches.
