The President of the GFA has vouchsafed the FA’s support to John Paintsil and assured to handle the matter in a proficient way.
“We (the GFA) are in close contact with John Paintsil and we are really helping him. We were at the hospital with doctors to ascertain his condition. Again we were at the Legon police station when he (John Pantsil) was detained. The FA has also settled the misunderstanding between him (John Paintsil) and his next door neighbor. He knows the FA is stalwartly behind him apart from his family,” he said.
The deputy captain was purportedly to have posted on his Blackberry (BB) status; “I will rest in peace …goodbye loved once,” shortly before he collapsed and was rushed to the Ghana-Canada Hospital on Tuesday, but Kwesi Nyantakyi believes the alleged tweet post was a fictitious tweet.
