An injury time winner from the spot handed Asante Kotoko all three points in the Ghana Premier League as they defeated New Edubiase 1-0 on Sunday.
Kwabena Adusei stepped up to convert a penalty in the 92nd minute for the Porcupine Warriors on their return to the Baba Yara Stadium after completing a three-game home ban from the previous season.
The win, their third-straight victory keeps them top of the log and helps them to maintain their hundred percent start to the season.
Edubiase, who entered the game on the back of two consecutive losses were close to picking a point off the champions but rather conceded the late penalty which blew their chances.
