Ghanaian referee Joseph Odartey Lamptey has been nominated as one of the match officials for the FIFA U-20 World Cup which will be held in New Zealand.
Lamptey joins a list of referees from around the world who will be at the tournament which is scheduled to begin from 30th May to 20th June, 2015.
Ghana’s U-20 side, the Black Satellites have also qualified to the competition and have been paired in Group B alongside Argentina, Austria and Panama.
The Black Satellites recently won bronze at the African Youth Championship in Senegal after beating Mali 3-1 in the third place match.
