Ghana’s Black Starlets team gave themselves a huge advantage in the Africa U17 Championship qualifiers after hammering their counterparts from Burkina Faso 5-1 at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.
Goals from Emmanuel Toku, Eric Ayiah, Isaac Antah and Nathaniel Opoku were enough to hand Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin’s side a convincing win at home.
The Black Startlets will travel to Ouagadougou in two weeks time for for the return fixture.
Ghana will be hoping to qualify for the competition for the first time since 2007.
