The West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone B has rescheduled the zonal qualifiers for the newly introduced Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Women Champions League scheduled for Tuesday, June 15 to Friday, June 25.
The draw would be held at the WAFU headquarters in Abidjan, Coté D’ivoire.
A Statement from WAFU Zone B said "Following the circular on June 2, 2021, relating to the preparation criteria and licensing procedure of the clubs to participate in the CAF Egypt 2021 Women Champions League (Zonal qualifiers and final qualifying phase), the draw for the Group matches of the West Zone B initially scheduled for June 15th, 2021, is postponed to June 25th at the headquarters of WAFU B in Abidjan.”
A club each from Cote d'Ivoire, Benin Republic, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso are scheduled to take part in the qualifiers.
Hasaacas Ladies FC is Ghana’s sole representative in this year’s tournament.
The two finalists would qualify to represent WAFU Zone B in the main tournament in Egypt this year.
