NPP National Youth Organizer, Nana Boakye has urged students of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to remain calm and stop vandalizing properties on campus.
Nana Boakye has asked the students to heave a sigh of relief as the government is working to bring a lasting solution to the misunderstanding between the students and the University authorities.
Students at Katanga Hall of the KNUST, on Monday, October 22, 2018, embarked on a violent demonstration against the University authorities.
The students thronged the streets on campus in their numbers, clad in red and amidst the protest vandalized several properties including the office and car of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso.
A misunderstanding between the students and the school's authorities resulted in the arrest of about 10 students, leading up to the demonstration.
The students are also protesting against a decision by the Vice Chancellor and the authorities to turn the all-male Katanga Hall into a mixed hall with females.
There were disturbing scenes on campus as the students destroyed and burned down some properties, ranging from cars to motorbikes.
Nana Boakye, popularly called Nana B, has hinted that the Vice Chancellor will soon become "history".
This is to assure them that the Vice Chancellor will be sanctioned accordingly to perhaps avoid Katanga Hall being mixed with females.
"I am very confident that Prof Obiri-Danso will soon be history. Very very soon," he posted.

As a former President of FUSSAG (Federation of Senior Staff Association of Ghana) my advice to the government is not to play to the gallery. Prof. Obiri Danso cannot be made the sacrificial lamb. I look at the composition of the IMC and conclude that no serious thinking went into the selection. I am disappointed in the Government. Is it the case that the beautiful ones are not yet born?
HHMMM some of these prof. and President of university thinks day have the links and power in the country.Which can even send ANAS to investgite one innocent student and late send CID after his life. These big men are blood thirst indeed. The student should fight for thier rigth because is not everyone who has gotten the opportunity to fight back yet.
Nothing was done to the Delta and Invincible Forces. So these students with the backing of the NPP govt functionaries like Nana B, Sammy Awuku and co. they knew nothing can be done to them. No wonder the SRC president could spew ***barred word*** on radio that they are not going to pay anything. Who should pay for those damaged properties. l am sure the Delta and Invincible forces are among those who were bussed to the school.
Wear your thinking cap. If the University is not a juvenile institution why should the students behave as such. They should have behaved as matured people who the helms of affairs of the country will one day be handed over to then when we are old or gone. No wonder Nana B is acting like them. They want the VC out like they have done to UEW. Let wait and see. They did it to the EC chairperson, trying the same thing on the auditor-general. Giving a dog a bad name to hang it
Don't know whats wrong with this Obiri name. One Obiri Yebaoh of Accra Poly set out to stop lots of student activities on campus when he became a dean around 2003.
***barred word*** little twerp.your mother woa to. What kind of leader will you become. I pray you live long like obiri danso to see how your kids will be like. Will you be proud of your son being like these katangis? Let me tell you that most of us NPP are very disappointed in the foolishness of you guys and will stay away from the boxes in 2020 cos you have not been any better than JM L
Nana B, Please you have to civil in your diction small. Did you borrow your words from NDC foot soldiers or what? Please before you go around making comments kindly ask for a review of your words before you talk. NPP youth are very disappointed in you brother. Note that the youth are watching you.
ANOTHER FO0LISH PERSON IN THE CLOTHES OF LEADERS. IF THESE ARE THE ELEMENTS LEADING THIS COUNTRY, I BET NOTHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN TO THIS NATION. WE ARE A BIG CIRCUS
What is it with African politicians that when you give them small power then all of a sudden they feel they own the world? If this bu-f00-n is the national organiser of the NPP[and I am a strong supporter of that party] he is not the national organiser of all the youthful denizens of this country. He should therefore think carefully before opening that hole in his face.Allow the government and the university authorities to bring this whole unfortunate matter to an agreeable conclusion and stop the unnecessary effusions.
NANA B U ARE A FOOOL . ***barred word*** BOY
