President John Mahama is a threat to Ghana’s development and must be kicked out of office in the 7 December polls, the three-time flag bearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has said.
“We have to save Ghana from John Dramani Mahama and secure the future of our country,” Mr Akufo-Addo told a crowd in Tema West in the Greater Accra Region where he took his campaign tour on Friday 23 September.
“The continued stay in office of John Dramani Mahama is a threat to the future of our country. This is why we are coming to change things in this December election.”
He promised that a future NPP government under his leadership would bring prosperity, create jobs, and ensure that Ghanaians have a comfortable life.
Nana Akufo-Addo has also said his tours around the country show that Ghanaians want a change of government. On Thursday, he called on the electorate in Sege, Ada, Prampram, among other communities in the Greater Accra Region, to vote for him in the December polls to enable him implement his policies which would improve the economy and ensure development in the country.
“Everywhere I go, I have realised that people want a change of government. I believe Sege will be part of the change. I want the people of Sege and everybody to know that I have better policies to implement for Ghana’s development. The NPP will develop Ghana and not steal from citizens like what the current government is doing. We want to improve the future of children in this country,” he stated.
Nana Akufo-Addo has promised to construct one factory in every district and an irrigation dam in every farming village up north to help Ghana become self-sufficient in food production and even become an exporter of food to the sub-region if he is elected as president in the December polls.

It is interesting the way some people talk. See who is saying someone is a threat to the future of Ghana. If someone who has abused his youthful era with women, weed smoking and cocaine sniffing is not a threat, how then does Mahama become a threat to the future of Ghana. Since John became the president, has there been any serious action of threat the nation. NPP, under nana addo, has seen acid bath and stabbings, smashing of vehicles, insults heaped on former president kuffour as well as serious of violent demonstrations from party faithfuls across Ghana. Talk about suspensions that has made thousands of NPP members bitter and violent. As we speak afoko is still battling with npp in court. What is more of a threat than these things and you have the audacity to say someone is a threat. Where has Mahama said, if he did not win an election, all die be die. Give us a break.
YOU TAKE GHANA'S POLITICAL DRIBBLERS FOR GRANTED? YOU MAY WAKE UP ON THE WRONG SIDE OF YOUR BED ONE DAY. WORK. WORK. WORK FOR BALLOTS, DON'T BANK ON WHAT YOU SEE AND HEAR.
Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo was obsessed with the same Gandhi spectacles Akufo Addo goes about in. He sought all his life to be sworn in, even for a day, as His Excellency the President of Nigeria. He died without realising his dream. That spec has its peculiar problems.
