The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has condemned in no uncertain terms recent attacks by Delta Force in the Ashanti Region.
The party has petitioned the Police Service to crack the whip on the members of the Delta Force and ensure law and order in the Region.
“The party doesn’t agree with them. The party will allow the Police to work . . . In no time, the laws will take its course for everyone to know that we don’t condone such actions,” Communications Director of the NPP, Director of Communications for the NPP, Nana Akomea stressed on the Friday's edition of 'Kokrokoo' on Peace FM.
Though admitting that the Delta Force members are NPP faithfuls, he however, held strongly that the vigilante group's actions are discreditable and disgraceful to the party.
According to him, any individual or group including the Delta Force that flout the country's laws should not be left off the hook.
Mr. Akomea further found it ridiculous that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have suddenly found its voice and criticizing the government over the Delta Force incidents while they failed to bring their "boys" - Montie 3 - to order and would even release them from prison.
Although he does not seek to score political points, he believes it is hypocritical of the opposition party to descend on the President.
He pledged President Nana Akufo-Addo's commitment to clamping down on any militant group in the country and noted the President is not in support of the attacks by the "Delta Force".
Also commenting on the issue on 'Kokrokoo', the former Deputy Minister for Power, John Jinapor called for a ceasefire by the "Delta Force".
Making reference to some statements by the President prior to last year's elections, John Jinapor said he (Nana Addo) was very critical of the erstwhile Mahama administration, lambasting former President John Mahama for failing to address militant groups that arose under his watch.
He therefore wants His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo to honor his words to Ghanaians regarding vigilante groups by first taking necessary punitive actions against the Delta Force for their blatant disregard of the country's laws.

SHEER CONDEMNATION FROM NPP LEADERSHIP IS NOT ENOUGH. THERE IS A GAP OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE LEADERSHIP OF THE PARTY AND THE GRASS ROOT. IT IS NOW FOR THE GRASS ROOT OF ALL THE PARTIES TO KNOW THAT MANY OF THE POLITICIANS ARE NOT SINCERE. ALL THEY KNOW IS TO ENGAGED IN GARGANTUAN CORRUPTION TAKING HUGE SALARIES FOR THEMSELVES LIKE OPUNI, AND STEALING FROM THE STATE LIKE WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH SNITT OR SIC AND AT TEMA PORT. WE ALL HAVE TO TAKE THE POLITICIANS INTO TASK BUT IN CIVIL MANNER AND NOT CHAOTIC SITUATION. WE MUST CHALLENGE THEM TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND NOT TO PERPETUATE IN THIEVERYYY. THE GOOD POLITICIAN MUST NOT IGNORE THE GRASS ROOT AND THE ORDINARY PEOPLE WHO VOTE FOR THEM TO LEAD AND BUILD THE NATION. DELTA FORCE IS PEEVED BECAUSE OF THE SCRAMBLE FOR POSITIONS HAPPENING NOW IN NPP. THEY FEEL FORGOTTEN AND IGNORED WHEN THEY HAVE SACRIFICED TO PROTECT OUR DEMOCRACY. NPP LEADERSHIP SHOULD STOP THIS ACT OF CONDEMNATION AND ACT RESPONSIBLY TO BRIDGE THE WIDE SOCIAL GAPS IN THE SOCIETY THAT THE POLITICIANS ARE CREATING BY THEIR CORRUPTION, PRIDE AND INCOMPETENCE. SUCH CORRUPTION IS RECIPE FOR CHAOS WHICH IS NOT GOOD FOR ANYBODY. THE POLITICAL LEADERSHIP OF ALL OUR PARTIES MUST WAKE UP. ALL THE KNOW IS TO CRITICIZE LIKE NDC IS DOING NOW AND TO DEFEND LIKE NPP IS DOING. WHAT IS HAPPEING NOW IN BOTH NPP AND NDC BY THE GRASS ROOTS IS NOT GOOD FOR OUR DEMOCRACY. IT IS A SYMPTOMS OF SOCIAL OUTCRY AND THE BETTER THE POLITICAL LEADERSHIP TAKE THE RIGHT ACTIONS TO MAKE THINGS WELL THE SAFER FOR FOR ALL.

Are you now disowning groups that you formed and trained? Kennedy Agyapong says one thing today, Kan Depah says another tomorrow, Wantumi says his today, Nana Ado say another the next day. Are these the so called competent men? Ghana is in big trouble oooo.
I think Nana Addo should make Ken Dapaa & Nana Akomea Ministers of Apology. Ken Dapaa is very annoying. Just sits there and be taking calls and apologising. NDC guys at government posts were just appropriating money and state vehicles for themselves between elections and handover. Instead of you guys coming up with measures to curtailed that, you didn't. Now, these young men are risking their lives for these things and you are here talking KRAP. You guys think you have arrived, wait for your time.
You guys were there playing Mr Nice Guys, leaving NDC to use their Bully Tactics to Rig the elections in 2008 & 2012. Thank God for characters like Chairman Wontumi & Ken Agyapong who risked their lives to mobilise young men like these guys to counter NDC Bullying style for free & fair elections bringing NPP into power. Suddenly people like Ken Dapaa are all being heard off and doing a very big disservice to NPP and Ghana as a whole. When people were taken government vehicles and re branding & changing them for their personal used, it took these young men to come into the rescue. What did we hear from Nana Akomea & Ken Dapaas? always apologising and denying the guys. Now it came to light that over 200 states cars missing. Mr Nice Guy Akomeah, get you F0OOLISHNESS out of there. You were in Accra when the elections were being won in the remote areas. If care is not taken, you guys won't have it easy. Accept that NPP led by Ken Dapaa failed in this matter. Azorka Boys, Odododiodio Machos, etc did worse but did you hear about any court? They even killed but NDC handled it well. All you know to do is to talk on Radio & apologise. Nkwa-sia-sem-aaa- kwaa-kwa.

Nana, please ask Hon. kennedy Agyapong to cool down so that his comment doesn't give vent to ***barred word*** like Asiedu Nketia to relief himself of electoral defeat pressure.
