The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Antwi-Boasiako, has responded to claims by former president Mahama that President Akufo-Addo should dream big for the progress of the country by indicating that whilst the former governed the nation without principles, the current applies principles.
Mr. Antwi-Boasiako explains that the current positive developments Ghanaians are seeing in all sectors of the economy, is a result of President Akufo-Addo thinking through the problems former president Mahama left behind.
“As for former president Mahama he was governing Ghana on autopilot. His mood determined how he ruled, he had no plans and solutions. He was just happy to be called president. He stayed in power but never learned he constantly remained a novice”, the NPP chairman said.
The NPP scribe affectionately called Chairman Wontumi, noted that he is keeping tab on the Northern Region tour of Mr. Mahama and seriously believes the former president is filling the huge gap of progress the Akufo-Addo led government has blessed Ghana with.
During the recent tour of the former president, he is on record to have told delegates of the National Democratic Congress in the Tamale South constituency that
"I travelled around the world and saw decent airports but when you come to Kotoka [International] Airport Terminal Two, it was so disappointing. And so it takes a dreamer to dream about projects like Terminal Three and I dreamt it and I said Ghana can have an airport like that”.
He continued by urging “Nana Akufo-Addo to dream big for the progress of the country.”
But Chairman replied his message by suggesting that if the entire tenure of the former president is to be compared to the administration of President Akufo-Addo, the progress we see now dwarfs that of the former president.

George Frimpong (London) gyae gyimi nu. Does Autopilots ever crash. You are hiding in London, we are here suffering see long fo.olish post you upload? NPP has been a beyond disappointment government, and until you relocate back, oboy dey ***barred word*** dey go.
Look at this foool who is accusing Chairman Wontumi of not able to speak English. Ghanaians do you know your problem? Let me tell you now, it is inferiority compress that is killing ***barred word*** people from North and Volta region especially. The always accuse Ashantis of not able to speak English. Is English our language? Ewes, Northners, and Gas are all speaking Twi because the are shying away from been who they are. Our leaders and so-called professional are all empty headed people without reasoning. They are in Ghana and allow British people to enact a law that people from most African countries including Ghana to pass an English test before the can get a visa for their spouses to get visa to join them. How many African leaders have stood up against that or also suggested that All British people visiting their countries should also take a test in one of their languages before visa is issued to them. It cost GHC950.00 to take their English test. Why Ghanaian leaders also enact the same law to get money from the British, yet uselesss people in Ghana are proud to use English as their first language and still proud of that. If you can speak English properly, your friends will laugh at you but if you cannot speak ewe, twi or any other language properly, it is well with everybody. Why are Ghanaians paying to take English test if it is our official language? Has any of our leaders sat down to think about that. Is it because it does not affect them? Please Ghanaians be wise up and disentangle yourselves from this colonial mentality. Every household in Ghana is proud to hear their children speaking English even if the parents cannot speak English. I cry for Ghana and the future generation. PLEASE NOTE SOME OF THE WORDS WERE SPELT WRONG INTENTIONALLY IN ORDER NOT TO BLACKLIST IT>
No, big No, Akufo Addo governs with lies and never ending false promises
DID HE MAKE THAT COMMENT IN TWI? I WONDER HOW WONTUMI WOULD PASS THESE COMMENTS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. OH MR ALL AND SANDRA. I WILL LOOK FOR AN ENGLISH TEACHER FOR YOU OR YOU WOULD ATTEND FREE SHS AND APPLY YOURSELF TO ENGLISH CLASSES ONLY.
